【0001】
ΔR=|R−R−1|≦ΔRF ................(4)
αF <αA ...................(6)
【0024】
また、1次警報用の警報定数α1 としては、例えば、αF1=0.4G(3.92m/s2 ),αA1=0.6G(5.88m/s2 )と設定する。
RS1=V f ×T d1 +(V f 2 −(V f −V r ) 2 )/(2α1 )・・・・・・・(7)
RS2=V f ×T d2 +(V f 2 −(V f −V r ) 2 )/(2α2 )・・・・・・・(8)
ΔVr =|Vr −Vr-1 |≦ΔVF

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to an inter-vehicle distance alarm device that detects an inter-vehicle distance to a preceding vehicle and issues an alarm to a driver when there is a possibility of a rear-end collision, thereby preventing a rear-end collision accident.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional inter-vehicle distance warning device, there is, for example, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open Publication No. 1-152282 (traffic eye warning algorithm).
This means that an electromagnetic wave is output to the front of the vehicle, a reflected wave of the electromagnetic wave is received, and an inter-vehicle distance R to a reflector (preceding vehicle) is detected from a propagation delay time from output to reception, thereby causing a risk of rear-end collision. compared to some alarm vehicle distance R S, it is intended to be detected inter-vehicle distance R to prevent rear-end collisions by generating an alarm if shorter than the alarm vehicle distance R S. Here, the warning inter-vehicle distance R S at which there is a risk of a rear-end collision is determined as follows, with the vehicle speed being V f , the alarm constant being the idle running time T d and the set deceleration α (> 0).
[0003]
The following is a detailed examination of the contents of the expression (1). The first term on the right side of the equation (1) is obtained by multiplying the own vehicle speed Vf by a desired idle running time Td and corresponds to the idle running distance of the own vehicle, and this value is proportional only to the own vehicle speed Vf . The second term is a value indicating the difference between the deceleration distance between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle, and is determined by the value of the own vehicle speed and the preceding vehicle speed. Here, assuming that the preceding vehicle speed is V a and the relative speed between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle is V r ,
, And the reverse on preceding vehicle speed V a is expressed by the following equation.
[0004]
Therefore, V f 2 / 2α in the first half of the second term of the right side of the equation (1) means the deceleration distance of the host vehicle, and the second half of the second term (V f + (d / dt) R) 2 ) / (2α) means the deceleration distance of the preceding vehicle.
[0005]
That is, this equation (1) assumes that the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle decelerate at the same deceleration α, and if the free running time of the own vehicle is assumed to be Td , even if the preceding vehicle decelerates. This is an expression for calculating a distance that does not cause a rear-end collision.
Therefore, the idling time Td and the deceleration α, which are the alarm constants used here, are generally the largest of the possible alarm inter-vehicle distances so that any driver can safely drive without collision. It is set to be a large value. That is, the maximum value is set for the idle running time Td , and the minimum value is set for the deceleration α.
[0006]
Further, in this conventional inter-vehicle distance warning device, a second inter-vehicle distance smaller than the inter-vehicle distance R S is set, and a first alarm is issued when the inter-vehicle distance R becomes equal to or less than the alarm inter-vehicle distance R S. A second warning is issued when the vehicle distance becomes equal to or less than the inter-vehicle distance of 2.
In other words, if the driver is driving with a safe distance between vehicles in that situation, or if the driver continues approaching immediately before passing, it is comfortable if the one-stage alarm continues to sound the alarm. It interferes with driving. Further, if the warning is issued too much, the driver's attention to the warning is reduced, and the driver cannot be alerted to the rear-end collision which is the original purpose of the warning. For this reason, the alarm is divided into two stages, the second alarm signal is generated for the first time in the second stage, which is extremely dangerous if approaching any longer, and the first alarm signal is generated for a certain time in the first stage. It was stopped later to prevent the alarm from sounding.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, considering the driving state in which the inter-vehicle distance warning device is required, the following two cases are considered.
Case 1: Case of approaching a preceding vehicle traveling at a lower speed than the own vehicle (approaching traveling state)
Case 2: A case in which the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates in the following traveling state and the distance between the vehicles becomes short (sudden deceleration of the preceding vehicle from the following traveling state).
Here, a method of generating an alarm suitable for each case will be described with reference to FIGS. In each of the drawings, the distances between alarm vehicles based on alarm constants set in accordance with
[0008]
First, FIG. 4 showing the case 2 shows a change in which the preceding vehicle starts suddenly decelerating at a certain timing from the following traveling state, and the inter-vehicle distance R becomes equal to or less than the inter-alarm distance, and an alarm is generated. In order to prevent problems such as a decrease in alertness due to excessive warnings in the following running state, the value of the idle running distance Td is set to a small value, and the warning inter-vehicle distance is shorter than the inter-vehicle distance R in the following running state. Become. After the rapid deceleration of the preceding vehicle, the value of the second term on the right side of the equation (1) quickly increases when the relative speed Vr with respect to the preceding vehicle is generated by reducing the value of the deceleration α. It is desirable that the warning inter-vehicle distance RS be greater than the inter-vehicle distance R to generate an alarm. In other words, it is desirable to alert vehicle distance as alarm distance R 2 is changed in FIG. 4.
[0009]
On the other hand, in

The present invention has been made in view of such a conventional problem, and when approaching before entering a following traveling state, an alarm is generated at an appropriate distance that is not too far away so that the driver does not feel distrust or discomfort. It is another object of the present invention to provide an inter-vehicle distance alarm device that can quickly generate an alarm when a preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the present invention provides an inter-vehicle distance detecting means for detecting an inter-vehicle distance between the own vehicle and a preceding vehicle, an own vehicle speed detecting means for detecting a traveling speed of the own vehicle, and a detected value of the inter-vehicle distance by the inter-vehicle distance detecting means. A relative speed calculating means for calculating a relative speed between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle based on the detected value of the running speed of the own vehicle by the own vehicle speed detecting means and a calculated value of the relative speed by the relative speed detecting means. An alarm inter-vehicle distance calculating means for calculating an alarm inter-vehicle distance for generating an alarm in accordance with the alarm constant, and an alarm when the detected value of the inter-vehicle distance becomes smaller than the calculated value of the alarm inter-vehicle distance by the alarm distance calculating means. An inter-vehicle distance alarm device, comprising: an inter-vehicle distance alarm device that generates an inter-vehicle distance alarm; When it is detected that the following state by means alarm constant correction means for correcting the alarm constants used in the alarm vehicle distance calculated in the alarm vehicle distance calculation means, as calculated value before Symbol alarm vehicle distance is increased And, was prepared.
[0013]
Further, the following running state detecting means may be configured to detect a following running state based on a time variation of a detected value of the following distance by the following distance detecting means.
Further, the following state detecting means, yet good configured to detect the following state based on the time variation of the calculated value of the relative velocity by the relative velocity calculation means.
Also, the alarm vehicle distance calculating means is a configuration for calculating a warning distance between vehicles, including a value obtained by multiplying an alarm constant relative speed equivalent value, said alarm constant correction means that a follow-up running state when detected, it may be configured to increase the alarm vehicle distance is corrected to a larger value when at least not following state alarm constants to be multiplied with the relative speed equivalent value.
[0014]
[Action]
According to the above configuration, when the following running state is detected by the following running state detecting means , the alarm constant used for the warning inter-vehicle distance calculation is set such that the calculated value of the warning inter-vehicle distance by the warning inter-vehicle distance calculating means increases. It is corrected by the alarm constant correction means. By doing so, when approaching before the following running state, an alarm can be generated at an appropriate distance that is not too far, and in the following running state, the warning inter-vehicle distance becomes longer, and the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates from the following running state. alarm quickly when performing occurs, it is possible to reduce the possibility of collision.
[0015]
Further, the following running state detecting means may be configured to detect the following running state based on the time variation of the detected value of the following distance, or the following running state may be detected based on the time variation of the calculated value of the relative speed. With the configuration for detecting, the following running state of the own vehicle with respect to the preceding vehicle can be detected.
Further, the warning inter-vehicle distance calculating means calculates the warning inter-vehicle distance including a value obtained by multiplying the relative speed equivalent value by the alarm constant, and the alarm constant correcting means corrects the alarm constant. Then, when it is detected that the vehicle is in the following running state , the alarm constant is corrected to a value larger than when the vehicle is not in the following running state . As a result, when the following running state is detected, the calculated value of the warning inter-vehicle distance by the warning distance calculating means becomes longer.

[0018]
In step 2, the relative speed V r = dR / dt between the host vehicle and the preceding vehicle is calculated by calculating the change rate of the input inter-vehicle distance R. As a method of obtaining the relative speed, for example, a highly accurate least square method can be considered.
That is, the calculated value V r of the relative velocity, for example, a linear equation, taken as a value represented by formulas such as quadratic, the parameters of this equation, the value of this formula the calculated value V r of the relative velocity The decision is made so that the error (residual error) is minimized.

If it is determined that the following state, the process proceeds to step 4, to correct the set deceleration alpha as alarm constant correction deceleration alpha F. If it is determined that it is not the following state the contrary, the process proceeds to step 5, to correct the set deceleration alpha to the correction deceleration alpha A.
[0022]
Here, the method of setting the correction decelerations α F and α A is as follows.
The following state, so want to set large an alarm vehicle distance in preparation for when the relative velocity is large, and set to a smaller value corrected deceleration alpha F, in the case other than the following state is following state since both the alarm effect small amount of change in the alarm-vehicle distance with respect to a change in the relative speed it can be sufficiently obtained compared with, to set the correction alarm constant alpha a relatively large value, an alarm in too far inter-vehicle distance occurs This prevents the driver from feeling uncomfortable. That is,
α F <α A. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (6)
Set so that
[0023]
In the present embodiment, two-stage alarms are assumed, so that the alarm constants α 1 and α 2 for the primary and secondary alarms may be corrected respectively. Therefore, four alarm constants of α F1 , α A1 , α F2 , and α A2 are prepared according to the primary and secondary alarms, respectively.
Here, the primary alarm is an alarm that is generated when the driver is alerted to a rear-end collision, and the secondary alarm is an alarm that is generated when the driver approaches the vehicle more than this and it is extremely dangerous.
[0024]
As the alarm constant alpha 1 for the primary warning, for example, α F1 = 0.4G (3.92m / s 2), it is set to α A1 = 0.6G (5.88m / s 2).
After the correction of the alarm constant, the process proceeds to step 6, where the alarm distance R S1 for the primary alarm and the alarm distance R S2 for the secondary alarm are calculated.
The warning inter-vehicle distance is calculated based on the equation (1), and a specific calculation equation is as follows.
[0025]
Primary alarm distance R S1 = V f × T d1 + (V f 2 − (V f −V r ) 2 ) / (2α 1 ) (7)
Secondary warning distance R S2 = V f × T d2 + (V f 2 − (V f −V r ) 2 ) / (2α 2 ) (8)
In
[0026]
If the inter-vehicle distance R between the host vehicle and the preceding vehicle is greater than the primary warning distance R S1 (R> R S1 ), it is determined in
When the own vehicle approaches the preceding vehicle and the inter-vehicle distance R becomes less than or equal to the primary warning distance R S1 (R ≦ R S1 ), it is determined that there is a danger of a rear-end collision (step 7). Proceed and compare the inter-vehicle distance R with the secondary warning distance RS2 .
[0027]
If the inter-vehicle distance R is larger than the secondary warning distance R S2 (R S2 <R ≦ R S1 ), it is determined that it is only necessary to call attention to the driver's rear-end collision. from the time T n and alarm time T F1, after determining whether the elapsed alarm time Delta] t, and outputs a command value for the primary warning alarm buzzer of the
[0028]
Note that the alarm time Δt has elapsed so that the generation of the alarm sound for the primary alarm does not hinder comfortable driving, and the driver's attention to the alarm does not decrease due to the alarm being issued too much. In some cases, the process proceeds to step 9 → 12, in which only the primary alarm sound is stopped and only the alarm lamp is turned on.
When the own vehicle further approaches the preceding vehicle and the inter-vehicle distance R becomes less than or equal to the secondary warning distance R S2 (R ≦ R S2 ), that is, as the second stage, the distance becomes too dangerous if approached any further. In this case, the process proceeds to Steps 8 → 13, and outputs a command value for a secondary alarm to the alarm buzzer of the
[0029]
The driver, the second alarm sound, and when deceleration noticed alarm lamp, since the inter-vehicle distance is increased, again, when it becomes R S2 <R ≦ R S1, 2 -order alarm sound, and Turn off the alarm lamp. As a result, the driver is alerted only by the alarm sound for the primary alarm and the alarm lamp.
When the alarm time Δt has elapsed, the alarm sound for the primary alarm is also stopped, and only the alarm lamp is turned on (steps 8 → 12).
[0030]
Step 2 corresponds to relative speed calculating means,
According to such a configuration, when the own vehicle follows the preceding vehicle, the warning constant α is corrected to be smaller than the warning constant other than the state when the following running state with respect to the preceding vehicle is detected. Become. Therefore, when approaching before entering the following traveling state, an alarm can be generated at an appropriate distance that is not too far, and when the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates from the following traveling state, the deceleration is corrected to a small value. Therefore, the warning inter-vehicle distance is increased in accordance with the deceleration of the preceding vehicle, a warning is promptly generated, the possibility of a rear-end collision can be reduced, and the driver does not feel distrust or discomfort. That is, there is obtained an effect that the driver can feel the two objectives, that is, the driver does not feel distrust or discomfort, and that a quick warning is issued.
[0031]
In the present embodiment, the value of the deceleration α as the alarm constant is corrected using the equation (1) as in the conventional example as the calculation formula of the alarm inter-vehicle distance. It is not limited.
For example, in addition to correcting the deceleration α, a constant for multiplying the relative speed Vr to obtain the warning inter-vehicle distance may be corrected. The following formula is a calculation formula for obtaining the warning inter-vehicle distance RS based on such a correction method.
[0032]
However, T r: constant expression (10) were for formula (1), so by adding the term (the second term on the right side) which is proportional to the relative velocity V r to calculate the alarm vehicle distance R S wherein although, on the basis of this equation, not only to correct the deceleration alpha, may be corrected constant T r according to the relative velocity V r. Even in this case, the same effect can be obtained.
[0033]
If the warning inter-vehicle distance R S is obtained in this manner, for example, the deceleration α is set to a value that reduces the feeling of distrust and discomfort in the approaching traveling state, and only the constant Tr is used to follow the traveling. It can be changed according to the state. In an approaching running state in which the preceding vehicle does not suddenly decelerate, the alarm constant Tr is set to a very small value, for example, zero, and in a following running state in which the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates, the alarm constant Tr is set to a large value, for example, 2 seconds. . In this way, if the relative speed Vr changes, the inter-vehicle distance RS is immediately increased accordingly, so that it is possible to quickly generate an alarm even if the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates.
[0034]
Further, in the present embodiment, the following running state is detected based on the time variation of the detected value of the inter-vehicle distance, as in
Whether the condition of the case is successively detected value V r of
[0035]
Condition 2 is the absolute value [Delta] V r of the variation detection value V r of the current relative speed detection value V r-1 of the previous relative velocity is equal to or less than a predetermined value [Delta] V F, further this state a predetermined number of times (N F times ) Or not.
ΔV r = | V r -V r-1 | ≦ ΔV F

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is detected whether or not the own vehicle is following the preceding vehicle, and when the following traveling state is detected , the alarm constant used for calculating the inter-vehicle distance is set. By correcting so that the calculated value of the warning inter-vehicle distance increases, at the time of approach before entering the following traveling state, an alarm can be generated at an appropriate distance that is not too far, and in the following traveling state, the alarm inter-vehicle distance becomes longer. In addition, when the preceding vehicle suddenly decelerates from the following running state , an alarm is quickly generated, and the possibility of a collision can be reduced. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the effect that it is possible to achieve both of the two objectives of generating a quick warning without causing the driver to feel distrust or discomfort.
[0038]
Further, whether the vehicle is in the following running state can be detected by detecting based on the time variation of the detected value of the following distance or based on the time variation of the calculated value of the relative speed.
Further, in the case where the warning inter-vehicle distance calculating means calculates the warning inter-vehicle distance including a value obtained by multiplying the relative speed equivalent value by the alarm constant, when the following traveling state is detected, the alarm constant is followed. If the warning inter-vehicle distance is lengthened by correcting the value to a value larger than when the vehicle is not in the traveling state, the warning inter-vehicle distance can be promptly increased according to the change in the relative speed.
