そこで本発明者らは流し台等のワークトップの下部にゴミ収納容器を設け、このゴミ収納容器をワークトップに設けられた水槽からの排水管に連通管を介して連絡させ、かつこの連通管の適所に吸引排気手段を設けて前記ゴミ収納容器内の空気、即ち臭気を吸引して排水管から外部に排気するようにした厨房装置を考えた。

この厨房装置は厨房作業で発生した生ゴミをゴミ収納容器に入れるだけでその臭気を吸引排気手段で吸引し排水管を介して外部に排気できるので、臭気が台所に発散することがなく、生ゴミの扱いが容易になると言う利点がある。そして上記生ゴミの臭気は流し台等につきものの排水管を介して外部に廃棄するので臭気排気用の管を外部まで引き出す工事が不要となる等の利点がある。

しかしながら上記構成の厨房装置は、水槽からの排水管に詰まりが生じるとその水がゴミ収納容器側へ逆流し、その途中、即ち排水管とゴミ収納容器とを連絡する連通管の途中に設けた吸引排気手段にこの水が侵入して吸引排気手段が損傷するという課題があった。

このような課題は上記吸引排気手段と排水管との間の連通管の途中を水槽とほぼ同等の位置までの隆起部を形成すれば解決できる。すなわち、排水管が詰まてもこの水は水槽とほぼ同等の高さまでの隆起部を乗り越えることが出来ず、よって上記水が吸引排気手段まで流れ込んでこれを損傷させることを防止できる。

本発明はこのような課題を解決するもので、吸引排気手段への水の逆流を防止することを第1の目的とし、そして構成の簡素化によるコストダウンを第2の目的とし、さらに生ゴミの水気処理に気を使わなくてもよくすることを第3の目的としたものである。

本発明は上記第1の目的を達成するため、ワークトップに設けた水槽およびワークトップ下部に設けたゴミ収納容器と、前記水槽内の水を排水する排水管と、この排水管と前記ゴミ収納容器とを連通させる連通管と、この連通管の適所に設けられ前記ゴミ収納容器内の空気を吸引して排水管から外部に排気する吸引排気手段とを備え、前記連通管には、吸引排気手段と排水管接続部との間に水槽のほぼ上部位置と同じ高さまで隆起させた隆起部を形成するとともに、この隆起部との間に水逆流防止部を形成した構成としてある。
