【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、特にCD−ROM,CDやMD等のディスク回転伝達に用いるスピンドルモータの軸受装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、CD−ROM,CDやMD等の機器は、低コスト,高信頼性の要望が多くなり、それに使用されるスピンドルモータも軸受に安価な含油メタルを用いたブラシレスモータが採用されつつある。CD−ROM等に採用されているモータは特開平7−59324号公報や特開平8−33300号公報に記載された構造のモータが一般に知られている。

以下に、図面を参照しながら従来のモータの構造、特に軸受構造の一例について説明する。
図4は特開平8−33300号公報記載の従来のモータの構造を示す断面図である。図4において、1は回転伝達を行う出力軸、2は含油メタル、3は含油メタルを保持するハウジング、4は回転子、5は固定子、6はプリント基板から成るブラケットである。モータは回転子4と固定子5の間に順次発生する磁気力により回転力を得、回転子4の中央に固定された出力軸1が、前記含油メタル2と、前記ブラケット6に固定されたハウジング3とから構成された軸受装置により回転自在に支承され、精度の良い回転を外部に伝達する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら上記のような構成では、含油メタル外周がハウジングで密閉されているため、出力軸が回転する時に出力軸と含油メタルの接触部に発生する圧力により、含油メタルの端面への圧力が増大し、含油メタル端面にオイルが吹き出し、特に回転子の天面側ではこの内部天面に付着する。さらに、回転子に付着したオイルは遠心力により回転子の内部天面をラジアル方向に拡散し、含油メタルには回帰しないため含油メタルに保持されたオイルが減少し正常な潤滑作用が働かなくなり、精度の良い回転伝達が行われないという課題を有していた。

本発明は含油メタル端面へのオイルの吹き出しを少なくし、精度の良い回転伝達を長時間維持できるモータの軸受装置、及びこの装置を備えた優れたモータを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この目的を達成するために本発明のモータの軸受装置は、含油メタルとハウジングの圧入部の回転子の天面側に、含油メタルの外周を密閉しない部分を設けたものである。この構成により含油メタルの端面への圧力を低下させ、含油メタル端面へのオイルの吹き出しを少なくでき、精度の良い回転伝達を長時間維持できるモータの軸受装置が得られる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明は、回転子と、この回転子と対向して配置された固定子と、前記回転子の中央に固定された回転軸と、この回転軸を回転自在に支承する含油メタルとこの含油メタルの外周を圧入して保持するハウジングとから成る軸受装置と、このハウジングを固定するブラケットとを有するモータの前記軸受装置において、前記ハウジングを、前記含油メタル保持部の寸法が前記含油メタルの全長の1/2から4/5の大きさで前記ブラケットと一体に形成したことを特徴とするモータの軸受装置、及びこの軸受装置を備えるモータであり、この構成により、含油メタル外周がハウジングで密閉された場合に生じる、出力軸が回転する時に出力軸と含油メタルの接触部に発生する圧力により含油メタルのオイルが含油メタル端面に吹き出す現象を、含油メタルの外周をハウジングに圧入しない部分を設けて回転子天面側の含油メタルの外周を開放することにより、含油メタル端面へのオイルの吹き出しを抑制でき、併せてブラケットとハウジングを一体に形成することにより、モータ構成部品数を削減できるという作用を有する。

以下、本発明の実施例を図面を用いて説明する。

図1は、モータのブラケット6とハウジング3を一体に形成させ、ハウジング3の含油メタル保持部9の寸法を含油メタル2の全長より短くして、回転子4側の含油メタル2の外周を開放したものである。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明によれば、含油メタルとハウジングの圧入部の回転子の天面側に、含油メタルの外周を密閉しない部分を設けることにより、含油メタルの端面への圧力を低下させ、オイルのメタル端面へ吹き出しを少なくし、精度の良い回転伝達を長時間維持することのできモータの軸受装置と、これを備える優れたモータが実現できるものである。

The present invention relates to a rotor, a stator disposed opposite to the rotor, a rotation shaft fixed to the center of the rotor, an oil-impregnated metal rotatably supporting the rotation shaft, and an oil-impregnated metal.
