A door monitor provided with a camera has been proposed, for example, JP-A-11-215485 and JP-A-11-27.
No. 0248, etc. In such a door monitor, by using the lens of the door scope already installed in the door, and arranging the lens of the CCD camera of the door monitor on the same optical axis as this, the visitor can be seen on the liquid crystal display of the door monitor. By projecting the image, it is not necessary to look into the scope to confirm the visitor as in the conventional door scope, and the visitor can be easily confirmed by looking at the liquid crystal display from a remote place. Further, since the existing door scope hole is closed by the CCD camera, there is no fear of looking into the room from outside through the door scope hole.

When a person stands at a position deviated from the optical axis of the door scope lens, there arises a problem that the visitor is not displayed on the liquid crystal display. On the other hand, when the shooting range is widened, the number of visitors displayed on the liquid crystal display becomes smaller, and thus it becomes difficult to identify the visitors. The same problem arises even when the focal length of the lens of the door scope is changed to narrow down the photographable range in order to project the visitor on the liquid crystal display.
