てメータ情報を取得する方式が一般的である。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】このため、電話回線或
いは電話交換設備等にトラブルがあると、通信センター
側から自動検針メータを呼び出してメータ情報を取得す
ることが困難になる。そこで、従来は、時間を置いて再
トライを行い、それでも通信ができない場合には、検針
員が需要家に出向いてメータ検針を行っている。このた
め、電話回線等にトラブルが発生すると、人手がかか

決するのが目的であって、その構成は次のとおりであ
る。通信センターから電話回線を利用して需要家の自動
検針メータを呼び出し、この自動検針メータに記録され
ているメータ情報を取得する自動検針システムにおい
て、自動検針メータ側に通信監視回路と自発呼回路を設
け、通信監視回路は、通信センター側からの呼び出しに
応じて自動検針メータ側からメータ情報の送信が行われ
たか否かの監視を行い、送信が行われなかった場合、自
発呼回路を駆動して自動検針メータ側から通信センター
側を呼び出し、メータ情報を送信する自動検針システ
ム。 【0006】 【作用】通常の自動検針は、通信センター側から自動検
針メータを呼び出してメータ情報を取得する。この通信
は、例えば毎月同一日の同時刻に行われる。自動検針メ
ータ側の通信監視回路は、今月に呼び出しがあったか否

い、呼び出し及びメータ情報の送信が行われていない場
