【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、自動車用シート（座
席）のシートバック（背凭部）におけるトリムカバー、
詳しくは、ヘッドレストがシートバックと一体に成形さ
れ、そのヘッドレストが前後に回動して前後位置を変更
できるようにしたヘッドレスト一体型のシートバックに
おけるトリムカバーの被覆構造に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】図４に示すように、従来のシートバック
（ＳＢ）には、ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を上部に一体に設
け、ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を鎖線に示すように前方に回動
してヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を前方に調節できるようにした
ものがある。そして、前記シートバック（ＳＢ）とヘッ
ドレスト（Ｈ）は袋状に一体に縫製されているトリムカ
バーで被覆されている。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】従って、前記従来のヘ
ッドレスト（Ｈ）を実線の状態から鎖線に示す状態に調
節すると、ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）の背面下部（イ）のトリ
ムカバーが引っ張られるため、前方に調節する際に回動
角度が不充分でその調節を的確に行うことができない
し、この調節を繰返すと、前記ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）の背
面下部（イ）のトリムカバーが引張力によって切離され
る虞れがある。
【０００４】斯る不具合を除去するために、前記ヘッド
レスト（Ｈ）とシートバック（ＳＢ）との背面側におけ
る境界部のトリムカバーを伸縮性に優れた生地を形成す
ると、トリムカバーの縫製作業の作業性が悪くなる不具
合がある。そこで、本発明は伸縮性に優れた生地を使用
することなく、前記従来品の不具合を解消することを目
的とする。
【０００５】以上の目的を達成するための本発明、前後
方向に回動するヘッドレストを一体に有するシートバッ
クにおいて、前記ヘッドレストとシートバックを構成す
るトリムカバーは、ヘッドレストとシートバックの双方
における前面側を構成するフロントカバー部と、このフ
ロントカバー部におけるシートバック側と一体で、シー
トバックの左、右側面、背面を構成するロアカバー部
と、このロアカバー部に対して別体で前記フロントカバ
ー部のヘッドレスト側に一体でヘッドレストの左、右側
面、背面を構成するアッパーカバー部とからなり、前記
ロアカバー部の上部に、前記アッパーカバー部の下部内
に挿込まれるオーバーラップ部を延設し、前記アッパー
カバー部、ロアカバー部は非伸縮性生地で形成してなる
構成である。

【作用】トリムカバーにおける前後方向に回動するヘッ
ドレストの前面を除く部分は、シートバックのトリムカ
バーに対して別体に成形されている。従って、ヘッドレ
ストの回動時にトリムカバーによる抵抗がなく、ヘッド
レストはスムーズに回動する。そして、前方にヘッドレ
ストが回動した際、オーバーラップ部により、ヘッドレ
ストとシートバックの背面における境界部分における内
部が外部に露出することがない。

【実施例】以下、本発明の一実施例を図１乃至図３に基
づいて説明する。図中（Ｐ）は、シートバック（ＳＢ）
とヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を形成する発泡体製クッション体
で、このクッション体（Ｐ）はシートバック（ＳＢ）と
ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を構成する部分が分離されておら
ず、一体にモールド成形されており、このクッション体
（Ｐ）はトリムカバー（１０）（１１）（２０）によっ
て被覆され、ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）一体型のシートバック
（ＳＢ）を形成している。
【０００８】前記ヘッドレストとシートバックを構成す
るトリムカバー（１０）（１１）（２０）は、ヘッドレ
スト（Ｈ）とシートバック（ＳＢ）の双方における前面
側である着座面を構成するフロントカバー部（１１）
と、このフロントカバー部（１１）におけるシートバッ
ク（ＳＢ）側と一体で、シートバック（ＳＢ）の左、右
側面、背面を構成するロアカバー部（２０）と、このロ
アカバー部（２０）に対して別体で前記フロントカバー
部（１１）のヘッドレスト（Ｈ）側と一体でヘッドレス
ト（Ｈ）の左、右側面、背面を構成するアッパーカバー
部（１０）とから構成されている。
【０００９】そして、前記ロアカバー部（２０）の上部
には、前記アッパーカバー部（１０）の下部（１０Ａ）
内に挿込まれるオーバーラップ部（２１）が延設されて
いる。以上のアッパーカバー部（１０）、ロアカバー部
（２０）は、非伸縮性生地で形成されている。この非伸
縮性生地とは、織物、レザー、合成樹脂製レザーなどの
伸縮性がないもの、或いは、伸縮性がさほどないもので
ある。
【００１０】以上のアッパーカバー部（１０）の下部
（１０Ａ）におけるオーバーラップ部（２１）に接合す
る部分を除く、フロントカバー部（１１）、アッパーカ
バー部（１０）、ロアカバー部（２０）はクッション体
（Ｐ）側に接着、吊込みなどの手段によって一体に固着
されている。
【００１１】なお、ヘッドレスト（Ｈ）内には、ブロー
成形等により成形したフレーム（Ｆ）が内蔵され、この
フレーム（Ｆ）にはステー（Ｓ）が一体に固定され、ス
テー（Ｓ）はシートバック（ＳＢ）のバックフレーム
（Ｂ）に、前後回動操作装置（Ｄ）によって、前後方向
に回動するように取付けられている。従って、ヘッドレ
スト（Ｈ）は、図３において実線の状態から矢印方向に
回動することにより、前方に移動調節できるようになっ
ている。
【００１２】斯様に前方にヘッドレスト（Ｈ）を移動し
た際、アッパーカバー部（１０）がそれに従動して移動
し、アッパーカバー（１０）の下部（１０Ａ）は上方に
持ち上がるが、ロアカバー部（２０）の上部には、オー
バーラップ部（２１）が設けてあるため、クッション体
（Ｐ）が外部に露出することがない。

【発明の効果】本発明によれば、トリムカバーにおける
シートバックの左、右側面、背面を構成するロアカバー
部に対して、ヘッドレストの左、右側面、背面を構成す
るアッパーカバー部が別体であるため、ヘッドレストを
前方に回動する際、トリムカバーが引張られることがな
い。そのため、ヘッドレストが所定位置にスムーズに回
動し得る。
【００１４】そして、ヘッドレストを前方に回動した際
に、トリムカバーのロアカバー部の上部にオーバーラッ
プ部が延設されているため、ヘッドレストの内部が外部
に露出することもない。更に、トリムカバーを構成する
アッパーカバー部及びロアカバー部は非伸縮性生地で形
成しているため、トリムカバーの縫製作業性が損なわれ
