【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明はディスプレイ装置に係
り、ディスプレイの前面に光学フィルタを備えるものに
関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】ＰＤＰ（プラズマディスプレイパネル）
を使用するディスプレイ装置では、ディスプレイの前面
にＰＤＰの発光色の補正および外光の反射防止等を目的
とするフィルタを備えるものが一般的である。従来、こ
のフィルタは、図３に示すように、フロントパネル21に
取付クッション22等を用いてフィルタ23を取付け、フィ
ルタ23の背後にＰＤＰ11を取付ける。ＰＤＰ11自体は薄
型で平面状の表示体であるからＰＤＰを用いることによ
って装置を薄型に構成することができるが、現状では上
述のようにフィルタが必要なためフロントパネルとＰＤ
Ｐとの間にフィルタのスペースが必要であり、このため
装置の奥行寸法が厚くなり、また、フィルタをフロント
パネルに取付けるための手間がかかる等の問題がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は上記問題点に
鑑み、フィルタの取付作業を不要にし、かつ、フィルタ
の取付スペースによる奥行寸法の増大をなくするように
することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は上述の課題を解
決するため、フロントパネルおよびリアパネルからなる
本体内に表示体を取付け、同表示体の前面に表示体の発
光色を補正するための光学フィルタを備えたディスプレ
イ装置において、前記フロントパネルを前記光学フィル
タ用の部材にて形成してディスプレイ装置を構成した。

【作用】以上のように構成したので、本発明によるディ
スプレイ装置においては、フィルタ用の部材によってフ
ロントパネルを形成するので、ＰＤＰとフロントパネル
の間に別物のフィルタを取付けるスペースが不要とな
り、ディスプレイ装置を薄型に構成でき、かつ、フィル
タ取付けのための部品と手間を省くことができる。

【実施例】以下、図面に基づいて本発明によるディスプ
レイ装置の実施例を詳細に説明する。図１は本発明によ
るディスプレイ装置の概要を示す斜視図、図２は本発明
によるディスプレイ装置の一実施例を示す要部断面図で
ある。
【０００７】図１の１はＰＤＰを使用したディスプレイ
装置のリアパネル、２はフロントパネルである。ＰＤＰ
は、陰極線受像管に比べて緑色系の発光色が他の色に比
べて相対的に強いため、ＰＤＰの前面に光学フィルタを
設けて発光色を補正する必要がある。このため、フロン
トパネル２のＰＤＰの表示エリア３の部分を光学フィル
タとし、ＰＤＰの発光色を補正すると共に外光の反射を
防止する。
【０００８】このため、フロントパネル２を透明度の高
い合成樹脂、例えば、アクリル樹脂若しくはＡＢＳ樹脂
等の素材を使用し、樹脂に適宜の顔料を混合して成形す
る、あるいは、透明素材のままでフロントパネルに成形
し、表面に適宜の顔料を塗布することによって光学フィ
ルタとし、ＰＤＰの発光色の補正等を行うようにする。
そして、表示エリア３以外のエリア４（点々で示す）に
塗装等による外観処理を行う。
【０００９】ＰＤＰの取付けは、図２に示す要部断面図
のように、ＰＤＰ11の背面に設けられた取付具12にＺ字
型の取付金具13を締結し、この取付金具13をフロントパ
ネルの内側に形成された取付具14に締結部材によって固
着し、後方にリアパネルを装着する。

【発明の効果】以上に説明したように、本発明によるデ
ィスプレイ装置によれば、光学フィルタ用の部材を用い
てフロントパネルを形成し、ＰＤＰの発光色の補正等を
行うようにしたので、フロントパネルとは別に光学フィ
ルタを設ける必要がなく、従って、フロントパネルとＰ
ＤＰの間に光学フィルタを取付けるスペースが不要とな
り、装置の奥行きを圧縮でき、かつ、光学フィルタを取
付けるための材料および加工の手間を省くことができ
る。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 フロントパネルおよびリアパネルからな
    る本体内に表示体を取付け、同表示体の前面に表示体の
    発光色を補正するための光学フィルタを備えたディスプ
    レイ装置において、前記フロントパネルを前記光学フィ
    ルタ用の部材にて形成したことを特徴とするディスプレ
    イ装置。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記光学フィルタは、アクリル樹脂若し
    くはＡＢＳ樹脂等の透明素材に所要の顔料を混合して形
    成したことを特徴とする請求項１記載のディスプレイ装
    置。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記光学フィルタは、アクリル樹脂若し
    くはＡＢＳ樹脂等の透明素材にて形成し、表面に所要の
    顔料を塗布したことを特徴とする請求項１記載のディス
    プレイ装置。
  4. 【請求項４】 前記表示体にプラズマディスプレイパネ
    ルを使用してなる請求項１、請求項２または請求項３記
    載のディスプレイ装置。
  5. 【請求項５】 前記フロントパネルの表示体の前面以外
    の部分に塗装等による外観処理を施してなる請求項１、
    請求項２、請求項３または請求項４記載のディスプレイ
    装置。
