【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、登山靴の中で装
着する、足首捻挫防止のための保護バンドに関するもの
である。

【従来の技術】従来の足首の保護としては、足首や患部
に、包帯や布テープやスポーツ用サポーターを巻き付け
て足首を保護する方法がとられていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】これは、次のような欠
点があった。
（イ）包帯を巻く場合、くるぶしの固定が難しく、歩行
中にずれてしまい、足首保護の用をなさなくなる。
（ロ）布テープを巻く場合、足首の固定が強過ぎて、通
常の歩行が困難になる。また、肌に直接巻くと、粘着面
によるかぶれや、擦れによる痛みを伴い、長時間の使用
に耐えられない。
（ハ）スポーツ用サポーターは、伸縮性のある素材で出
来ているため、足首の横捻りに対する拘束力が不充分で
ある。また、圧迫力が強く、登山靴の中で使用した場
合、血流障害を起こす。
本発明は、これらの欠点を解決するために発明されたも
のである。

【課題を解決するための手段】足甲バンド（１）と足首
バンド（２）に、くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）（４ｂ）を橋
渡して取り付ける。各バンドの端部には、面ファスナー
からなる止め部（５ａ）（５ｂ）（５ｃ）（５ｄ）を設
ける。くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）と、くるぶし被覆部（４
ｂ）との間には、ゴム帯（６）を設ける。本発明は、以
上の構成よりなる登山用足首保護バンドである。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の実施の形態を、図
にもとづいて説明する。なお、図１は左足用を示すが、
右足用も同じ構成である。
（イ）伸縮性のない薄型の帯体からなる足甲バンド
（１）と足首バンド（２）で一端が交差するように交差
部（３）を設け、同質の帯体からなるくるぶし被覆部
（４ａ）（４ｂ）を橋渡して取り付ける。
（ロ）足甲バンド（１）の一端には、面ファスナーから
なる止め部（５ａ）を設け、足首バンド（２）の一端に
は、面ファスナーからなる止め部（５ｂ）を設ける。
（ハ）交差部（３）の裏面は、面ファスナーを設けて、
止め部（５ｃ）（５ｄ）とする。
（ニ）くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）と、くるぶし被覆部（４
ｂ）との間には、ゴム帯（６）を設ける。
本発明は、以上の構成よりなっている。本発明を使用す
る場合は、登山靴の中で、靴下の上から次のように装着
する。足甲バンド（１）を足甲に巻き、止め部（５ａ）
（５ｄ）にて止める。くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）（４ｂ）
が、外くるぶしを密着して覆うように位置を整え、足首
バンド（２）を足首に巻いて、止め部（５ｂ）（５ｃ）
にて止める。歩行中に足首を捻る力が加わった場合、く
るぶし被覆部（４ａ）（４ｂ）が拘束力を発揮して、足
首の捻挫を防止する。なお、くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）
（４ｂ）およびゴム帯（６）よりなる部分は、プラスチ
ックや、薄型の金属を凹状に成形して、内側に弾性の緩
衝体を貼り合わせたものに代用させることができる。そ
の場合は、登山靴との併用に限定されないので、一般ス
ポーツ用として、また、ギブスの代替となる医療用とし
て応用することが可能である。

【発明の効果】近年普及している軽量化された登山靴
や、型くずれをした革製登山靴は、足首の捻りに対する
強度が不充分である。そこで、本発明を併用することに
よって、靴の強度不足を補い、足首の捻挫防止効果を大
幅に高めることができる。以下に、本発明の優れた点を
あげる。
（イ）軽く、厚みが小さいため、普段はいている登山靴
の中で装着しても、違和感や圧迫感がない。
（ロ）足首の横捻りに対してだけ拘束力を発揮する形状
のため、通常の歩行時の足首の動きは妨げられない。
（ハ）靴下の上から装着するため、擦れによる皮膚の痛
みを伴わない。
（ニ）伸縮素材でないため、踏み込んでいる時以外には
締付け力は小さく、血流障害を起こさない。
本発明は、以上のような優れた点を持つ足首保護バンド
