合、血流障害を起こす。 本発明は、これらの欠点を解決するために発明されたも

止め部（５ｃ）（５ｄ）とする。 （ニ）くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）と、くるぶし被覆部（４

バンド（２）を足首に巻いて、止め部（５ｂ）（５ｃ）
にて止める。歩行中に足首を捻る力が加わった場合、く
るぶし被覆部（４ａ）（４ｂ）が拘束力を発揮して、足
首の捻挫を防止する。なお、くるぶし被覆部（４ａ）
（４ｂ）およびゴム帯（６）よりなる部分は、プラスチ
ックや、薄型の金属を凹状に成形して、内側に弾性の緩
衝体を貼り合わせたものに代用させることができる。そ
の場合は、登山靴との併用に限定されないので、一般ス
ポーツ用として、また、ギブスの代替となる医療用とし

幅に高めることができる。以下に、本発明の優れた点を
あげる。 （イ）軽く、厚みが小さいため、普段はいている登山靴
の中で装着しても、違和感や圧迫感がない。 （ロ）足首の横捻りに対してだけ拘束力を発揮する形状
のため、通常の歩行時の足首の動きは妨げられない。 （ハ）靴下の上から装着するため、擦れによる皮膚の痛
みを伴わない。 （ニ）伸縮素材でないため、踏み込んでいる時以外には
締付け力は小さく、血流障害を起こさない。 本発明は、以上のような優れた点を持つ足首保護バンド
