クトその他の気体流通ダクトに装着される複合型消音器
に関する。 【0002】 【従来の技術】従来内燃機関の吸入空気ダクトその他の
気体流通ダクトから外気へ騒音が放出されるのを防ぐた
めに共鳴型の消音器(レゾネータ)が取付けられる。レ
ゾネータは共鳴室と連通管とでなり共鳴室の容積、連通
管の長さや内径寸法などで消音特性が定まり、騒音周波
数分布の中の特定の周波数域に対して高い減衰作用をす
る。従って広い周波数域に対して減衰作用を持たせたい
場合や、騒音周波数の音圧ピークが2ケ所以上ある場合
は、複数個のレゾネータを用いる。この場合、例えば自
動車エンジン用で、エンジンルーム内に配置したいとき
などは占有スペースが狭くてよいように、共鳴室を一つ
の容器にまとめ、その内部を区画してそれぞれの共鳴室
を形成させている。例えば実開昭58ー35666号公
報(第3図)に開示されているもののようにしている。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】このような共鳴型消音
器は合成樹脂の射出成形により容器を成形する場合が多
く、容器を本体部分と蓋体部分に分割して成形し、合体

性を持たせるため、容積の大きいものや小さいものが必
要とされる。これらの共鳴室を容器内に縦壁のみで形成
しようとすると、容積の小さいものはきわめて横断面積
が狭く深さが相対的に深い形状となり、ほとんど連通管
に対してその延長部分のような細長い形状となってしま
い、正常に共鳴作用をする共鳴室とならない場合が生ず
る。 【0005】 【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は上記のような
不具合をなくし、容積の小さい共鳴室を細長い形状と
ず、容器を形成する本体および蓋体の一方または双方に
は深さ方向の縦壁を一体形成し、これにほぼ直角方向と
なる横壁を別体で成形して容器内に固着して、縦壁と
体で形成された横壁との組合せにより仕切壁としたもの

数の共鳴室に区分される。この容積を異ならせてそれぞ
れ連通管で1個の気体流通ダクトと連通させることによ

も各共鳴室が一体化されてコンパクトである。 【0007】 【実施例】図1に実施例を示す。複合型消音器1は容器
2と気体流通ダクト、この例では内燃機関の吸入空気ダ
クト3とを連通管4、5、6で連通させたものである。
容器2は合成樹脂製であって本体7と蓋体8との開放端
を結合縁9で振動溶着により接合してなる。蓋体8の内
側を区切る深さ方向の縦壁10、11を一体に形成し、
縦壁で区分される三つの区画にそれぞれ連通管4、5、
6を一体に形成する。 【0008】本体7は内部に縦壁12を一体に形成しそ
の先端を蓋体8の縦壁10と接合する。この接合は結合
縁9と同時に振動溶着で行なえばよい。縦壁12は先端
からやや下方で段付部12aを有し段付部12aから下
方は肉厚となっていて、この肉厚部はスリット状に間隙
部12bが形成され、2重壁構造の状態となっている。
さらに本体の内壁の対向する2面(紙面の前後方向)
には結合縁9の下方の位置に結合縁9の面に平行なリブ
13が形成され、リブ13の上面は縦壁12の段付部1
2aの上面と接続されて、コ字状の平坦面を形成してい

とに3区分され、それぞれが連通管4、5、6を備えた
共鳴型消音器(レゾネータ)を構成する。 【0011】この場合各共鳴室16、17、18は容積

定の消音特性を有するので広い周波数の騒音に対し効果
があり、しかも容器を一体にしたことによりコンパクト

積が小さいが横壁15を設けたことにより、共鳴室の形
状が細長いあたかも連通管7の延長部分となるようなこ
とはなく、連通管に対して拡張容積となしうるので、
十分に共鳴作用をなさせることができる。また最も容積
の大きい共鳴室18は横壁15の下方部分をとりこむこ
とにより、徒らに容器2の深さを大とすることなく全体
形状を小型化している。なお縦壁12の間隙部12b
は、段付部12aを形成してアンダカット部分を生ぜし
めないために下方に生成される肉厚部に対する肉盗みで
あって軽量化に寄与するものである。 【0012】図1の例では容器2はほぼ直方体状である
が、その他に本体や蓋体に凹凸部分を形成して装着され
るべき部分のスペース形状に対応する容器形状とし、必
要な共鳴室容積を保有することとしてもよい。また容器
の器壁に必要により補強リブを設けて剛性を高めるよう
にしてもよい。さらに結合線を上方に移して蓋体を板状
のものとし、縦壁は本体のみに設けるような分割形状と
することもできる。また図1の例では共鳴室を容器内に
3室設けてあるが、この室数およびそれぞれの連通管が

の本体と蓋体とはそれぞれ簡単な上下金型のみで射出成
