のパイプPの径方向に張り出そうとする力が緩和されや
すく、また弾性シール栓Sが小径押込先端部2bに、よ
り確実に把持されるように食い込み、係止されやすくな
る。又、前記大径ガイド部2aを筒状に形成してあると
(図3参照)、パイプPの内周面全周が摺接して内嵌時
にガイドされやすいように、より太くしても、比較的軽
量で取り扱いやすいシール栓押込具にすることができ、
更に前記押込棒部を、夫々前記大径ガイド部と前記小径
押込先端部を備えた大径押込筒部材と小径押込筒部材と
から構成すると共に、前記大径押込筒部材を着脱自在に
外嵌して螺合連結するねじ部を前記小径押込筒部材の基
端部に形成してなる2重構造にすることもできるので、
持ち運びや保管に嵩張らず、弾性シール栓を太いパイプ
に押し込むときには、前記大径押込筒部材の方を用い、
細いパイプに押し込むときには、外側の大径押込筒部材
を取り外して、小径押込筒部材の方を用いることのでき

閉止するためのものであって、把持部1と、前記パイプ
P内に挿入自在な筒状の押込棒部2とを備え、押込棒部
2を大径押込筒部材2Tと小径押込筒部材2tとから構
成すると共に、大径押込筒部材2Tを着脱自在に外嵌し
て螺合連結するねじ部5を小径押込筒部材2tの基端部
に4に形成してある。前記押込棒部2の大径押込筒部材
2Tと小径押込筒部材2tとは、大きさが異なるだけ
で、同様の構成を有するので大径押込筒部材2Tについ
て説明すると、これは、パイプPに内嵌摺接可能な大径
ガイド部2aと大径ガイド部2aよりも小径の小径押込
先端部2bとを一体形成した筒状体からなり、小径押込
先端部2bの先端内側面を先拡がりのテーパー面3に形

り、分岐部のパイプPに取付部J、ボールバルブVそし
てガイド部Gを介して放散管Xを鉛直に連結してある。
図中Tは、取付部JをパイプPに締結するための締結
具、OはOリングである。エアーパージが終わり、ガス
配管内が可燃性ガスで置換されると、ボールバルブVを
閉じてガイド部Gと放散管XをボールバルブVから取り
外し、円筒状の弾性シール栓SをボールバルブVの開口
端に押込んだ後、ガイド部Gを再び取り付ける。この時
ガイド部Gは、弾性シール栓Sの上端面周部に上方から
当接して下方に抑える構成にしてあり、弾性シール栓S
の抜け止め具の役目をする。この状態でボールバルブV
を開けて上述のシール栓押込具を用いて弾性シール栓S
パイプP内の底部まで押し込んだ後、シール栓押込具を
抜き取り、締結具Tを緩めて取付部JとボールバルブV
をパイプPから取り外し、パイプPの上部を切断してこ
こにキャップ(図外)を融着して一連のシール作業が終
