By doing so, when the drive device 96 is not operated, the light distribution of the headlamp 90 is
As indicated by the light distribution S in FIG. 8, the light is composed only of the downward light from the main reflecting portion 94a, that is, the passing light distribution. When the driving device 96 is operated, the light distribution S is added with the light distribution H1 from the sub-reflecting portion 94b in the horizontal direction and the light distribution H2 from the sub-reflecting portion 94c. The traveling light distribution is obtained by combining the light distribution H1 and the light distribution H2.

However, in the above-described conventional headlamp 90, the reflecting mirror 9 is used.
4 is divided into a main reflecting portion 94a and a sub-reflecting portion 94b, and covers the sub-reflecting portion 94b from the light source 91 in the passing light distribution. Therefore, it is used in most situations during normal traveling. This causes a problem that the passing light distribution becomes dark.

In addition, also in the headlamp 1 of the present invention, a movable shield plate 9 which is moved to two predetermined positions by a drive device 8 such as a solenoid is provided, and the movable shield plate 9 is driven. When the drive by the device 8 is not performed, the side shields 9a that shield the light from the light source 2 from reaching the sub reflectors 3b provided on the left and right sides of the main reflector 3a, and the light from the light source 2 are provided. Light is reflected by the elliptical reflecting surface 6 and is composed of a lower surface shielding portion 9b that shields an optical path toward the parabolic reflecting surface 7. For example, as shown in FIG. 5, the hood 5 is rotatable about a shaft 9c. Is installed as.

When driven by the driving device 8, the light source 2 to the sub-reflecting portion 3 are driven as shown in FIG.
It is assumed that the optical path extending to b and the optical path extending from the elliptical reflecting surface 6 to the parabolic reflecting surface 7 are retreated to give light to the sub-reflecting portion 3b and the parabolic reflecting surface 7. Therefore, the light emitted forward as the headlamp 1 is the main reflection portion 3 a of the reflection mirror 3.
The light from the sub-reflecting portion 3b, which is respectively irradiated in the front direction, and the light from the parabolic reflection surface 7 are added to the passing light distribution from each other to obtain traveling light distribution (see also FIG. 7). )
Will be the one.

Also in the present invention, the sub-reflecting portion 3b provided in the left-right direction of the main reflecting portion 3a forms a light distribution (corresponding to the light distribution H2 in FIG. 8) that widely illuminates the front-right direction of the vehicle. However, a light distribution (corresponding to the light distribution H1 in FIG. 8) that illuminates the vehicle in a spotwise manner in the front direction is formed in a portion where the elliptical reflection surface 6 and the parabolic reflection surface 7 are combined.

Next, the operation and effect of the headlamp 1 of the present invention having the above structure will be described. First,
According to the present invention, since the portion of the sub-reflecting portion 3b provided above the main reflecting portion 3a is unnecessary, the main reflecting portion 3
The area of a increases, and the passing light distribution that is always used becomes brighter.

Here, since the sub-reflecting portions 3b are still provided on the left and right sides of the main reflecting portion 3a, it seems that the area of the main reflecting portion 3a is narrowed, but the size in the left-right direction of the vehicle body. In many cases, it is possible to extend the sub-reflecting portion 3b, so that the dimension of the sub-reflecting portion 3b can be extended, and no substantial light amount loss occurs.

Further, an elliptical reflecting surface 6 is provided in front of and above the light source 2, and the reflected light from the elliptic reflecting surface 6 is further reflected by the parabolic reflecting surface 7 in the front direction. By replacing the sub-reflecting portion provided above the portion 3a, as described above, the elliptical reflecting surface 6 is conventionally used by being shielded by the hood as a portion that causes a dazzling light. Since the light of the portion where there is no light is collected and converted into irradiation light, the headlamp 1 as a whole can improve the luminous flux capture rate for the light source 2.

This not only makes the passing light distribution that is used all the time bright, but also makes the traveling light distribution that is used when traveling at high speeds such as highways and suburbs, That is, it is possible to make the headlamp 1 even brighter even with the light source 2 having the same brightness.

Further, the movable shield plate 9 has almost the same structure as that of the conventional example including the drive unit 8, and
Since the elliptical reflecting surface 6 and the parabolic reflecting surface 7 are also formed so as to be integrally formed with the hood 5, there is no increase in the cost of parts or the number of assembling steps as compared with the conventional example. The effect can be obtained without increasing the product cost.

As described above, according to the present invention, there is provided a headlamp having a parabolic surface having a light source as a substantially focal point, and a main reflection portion for forming a passing light distribution provided in a substantially upper half portion, A sub-reflecting portion whose front is in the irradiation direction is provided on the left and right of the main reflecting portion, and two elliptical reflecting surfaces having the light source as a first focus are provided in front of and above the light source so as to face each other in the left-right direction. , The second focal point of these elliptical reflecting surfaces is provided near the side of the light source on the side where the respective elliptical reflecting surfaces are present,
A parabolic reflection surface having the second focus of each of the elliptical reflection surfaces as a focal point and a front in the irradiation direction is provided below the main reflection portion, and a movable shield plate is provided near the light source. The headlamp is configured so that the light incident from the light source to the sub-reflecting portion and the light incident from the elliptical reflecting surface to the parabolic reflecting surface can be opened and closed. The light emitted upward from the light source was captured by the elliptical reflecting surface and projected in the horizontal direction by the parabolic reflecting surface to form the traveling light distribution. The elliptical reflecting surface and the parabolic reflecting surface replace the sub-reflecting portion provided in the up-down direction of the main reflecting portion, which is difficult to extend in dimension, so that the passing light distribution used at all times does not become dark, and this Improves the visibility of various types of headlamps In which exhibits the excellent effect in improving.

Secondly, since the elliptical reflecting surface captures the light of the light source which has not been used in the past as described above, it is selected when traveling at high speed and requires a greater amount of light. The traveling light distribution to be performed also enables an increase in the amount of light, and not only the above-mentioned passing light distribution but also an excellent effect of improving the performance during traveling light distribution.

Thirdly, since the elliptical reflecting surface and the parabolic reflecting surface provided by the present invention are shaped so that they can be integrally molded with the hood, the above-mentioned improvement in performance is particularly achieved in comparison with the conventional structure. It can be carried out without increasing the number of points and the number of assembling steps, and also has an excellent effect of improving the cost performance of the product.

1. A headlamp comprising a parabolic surface having a light source as a substantially focal point and a main reflecting portion for forming a passing light distribution provided in a substantially upper half portion, and an irradiation direction is provided to the left and right of the main reflecting portion. Is provided as a front surface, and two elliptical reflecting surfaces having the light source as a first focus are provided in front of and above the light source so as to face each other in the left-right direction. Provided in the vicinity of the side of the light source on the side where each elliptical reflecting surface is present, and below the main reflecting portion, the second focus of each elliptic reflecting surface is the focal point, and the irradiation direction is the front. An object reflecting surface is provided for each, and a movable shielding plate is provided in the vicinity of the light source, and light that enters the sub-reflecting portion from the light source and light that enters the parabolic reflecting surface from the elliptical reflecting surface are provided. A headlamp that is characterized by being opened and closed.
