板の保持構造に関し、詳しくは、計器のケースにフレキ
シブル配線板を保持するための構造に関するものであ
る。 【0002】 【従来の技術】図5および図6に示すように、車両用の
計器等において、ケース1の底面に取り付けられるフレ
キシブル配線板4のはみ出し端部4aを保持する構造と
して、ケース1の後部の角部に爪状の保持リブ2を設
け、フレキシブル配線板4の端部4aを保持リブ2の内
側の溝部3に折曲げて挿入し、この折曲げた端部4aを
保持リブ2で押さえて保持するようにした保持構造が知
られている(実開平3−71691号公報参照)。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記の保持構造では、
ケース1の角部に保持リブ2および溝3を設けるため、
その分ケース1の厚みが増し、その厚み分のスペースが
必要となる。そのスペースを小さくするため保持リブ2
の肉厚を薄くすることも考えられるが、そうするとケー
ス1の強度の問題が生ずる。また、保持リブ2の箇所に
は表ガラスや見返しを結合するための係合部が形成でき
ないため、保持リブ2の形成にも制約があるという問題
がある。 【0004】本発明は上述の点に着目してなされたもの
で、保持リブを形成することなくフレキシブル配線板の
端部をケース内に保持でき、省スペースを可能にしたフ
レキシブル配線板の保持構造を提供することを目的とす
る。 【0005】 【課題を解決するための手段】前記目的を達成するた
め、請求項1記載の発明は、ケースの底面に取り付けら
れたフレキシブル配線板の端部を前記ケースの底面と側
壁との角部で折曲げて保持するようにしたフレキシブル
配線板の保持構造であって、前記角部付近の前記底面に
横向きの長孔が形成されており、 前記角部の内面であっ
て前記長孔にかかる位置に補強リブが形成されており、
前記補強リブに前記長孔と連通する溝が形成されてお
り、かつ前記フレキシブル配線板の端部に形成された舌
片が折曲げられて前記長孔から挿入されて前記溝内に収
納保持されることを特徴とするものである。 【0006】このため、請求項1記載の発明では、フレ
キシブル配線板の端部に形成した舌片を折曲げて長孔に
挿入することにより、舌片をケース内に保持することが

折曲げ部分の内側と相対する面)がテーパ面6に形成さ

幅より若干小さい幅の舌片4aが長孔5の箇所に形成さ
れている。フレキシブル配線板4はケース1の底面1a
に当接され、その舌片4aの部分を折曲げて長孔5に挿

内面が直角であり、長孔5の上面も底面1aと直角(垂
直)に形成されていたとすると、舌片4aを略直角に折
曲げながら挿入しなければならず、フレキシブル配線板
4に応力が発生するため挿入が困難となるおそれがある
ためであるが、角部1cが直角であり、長孔5の上面が
底面1aと平行であっても、前記保持リブ2を設けない
でフレキシブル配線板4の端部を保持するという目的は
達成できる。 【0016】以上のように、第1実施の形態のフレキシ
ブル配線板の保持構造では、ケース1の角部1cに長孔
5を形成してフレキシブル配線板4の端部に形成した舌
片4aをこの長孔5に挿入するようにしたので、保持リ
ブ2が不要となり、したがって、ケース1の厚みは変わ
らず、省スペースをはかることができると共に、保持リ
