Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an ABS (anti-skid brake system) unit mounting structure for an automobile. 2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional ABS unit mounting structure, as shown in FIG. 3, a brake booster is provided on a driver side of a dash panel 1 which separates an engine room ER from a vehicle room R. On the side of the assistant side, a battery 6 is arranged on a shelf 5 formed stepwise on the hood ledge panel 4 between the dash panel 1 and the strut tower 3, while the device 2 is arranged, and An ABS unit 7 is disposed on a shelf 5 formed in a stepped manner on a hood ledge panel 4 in front of a strut tower 3 on a side where a brake booster 2 is disposed (CAR GRAPHIC issued on January 1, 1990).
4, the ABS unit 7 is disposed on the shelf 5 between the dash panel 1 and the strut tower 3 on the side of the assistant side as shown in FIG.
(See Japanese Patent Application No. 2-218093), which is disposed on the shelf 5 in front of the strut tower 3 on the same side. In the vehicle shown in FIG. 3, since the ABS unit 7 is disposed at the front of the vehicle, the ABS unit 7 is provided as a special measure so that the ABS unit 7 is not damaged as a measure against a collision. It is necessary to protect with a protector, which is disadvantageous in terms of cost. [0004] Further, since the ABS unit 7 is disposed in front of the brake booster 2 away from the brake booster 2, the length of the brake pipe connecting these two parts becomes longer, which not only increases the pipe weight but also increases the brake weight. The pressure loss of the liquid increases. In the vehicle shown in FIG. 4, since the heavy battery 6 is disposed in front of the vehicle, the weight balance at the front of the vehicle is poor, the moment of inertia of the vehicle is increased, and the exercise performance is impaired. In addition, since the battery 6 is located in front of the strut tower 3, the amount of overhang of the vehicle body from the front wheel (not shown) to the front cannot be reduced, which is disadvantageous in molding. Further, since the ABS unit 7 is spaced apart from the brake booster 2 on the side opposite to the brake booster 2, the brake pipe becomes longer and the pipe weight increases as in the above-mentioned case, which is disadvantageous in weight. In addition to this, the pressure loss of the brake fluid increases. Further, since a brake pipe for connecting and connecting the ABS unit 7 and the brake booster 2 is arranged on the dash panel 1, pulsating noise of the brake fluid enters the vehicle interior through the dash panel 1. There is also a problem that the noise spreads and silence is impaired. Therefore, the present invention can provide a protective measure at the time of collision of the ABS unit without requiring a special protector, and can reduce the length of the brake pipe to reduce the weight and improve the brake responsiveness. An object of the present invention is to provide an ABS unit mounting structure for a motor vehicle capable of improving the weight distribution at the front of the vehicle body and reducing the moment of inertia of the vehicle. [0010] A brake booster is provided on one side of the dash panel, and a battery is connected between the dash panel and the strut tower on the side opposite to the side on which the brake booster is provided. in the structure which is disposed on the ledge between, by the ABS unit side is disposed a brake booster, in proximity to the vehicle width direction outer side of the brake booster, between the dash panel and the strut tower It is arranged on the shelf. An ABS unit and a battery having substantially the same weight are arranged symmetrically between the left and right strut towers and the dash panel, and the ABS unit and the battery are arranged rearward of the front wheels. Therefore, the weight balance at the front portion of the vehicle body is improved, and the moment of inertia of the vehicle can be reduced. Also, since the ABS unit and the brake booster are arranged close to each other, the length of the brake pipe connecting these two can be shortened, which is advantageous in weight and reduces the pressure loss of the brake fluid. Brake response can be improved. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. In FIGS. 1 and 2, the engine room ER
The brake booster 2 is disposed on the driver side of the dash panel 1 separating the vehicle and the cabin R, while the battery 6 is connected to the assistant side opposite to the side on which the brake booster 2 is provided. On the side of the hood panel 4 between the dash panel 1 and the strut tower 3. The ABS unit 7 is located on the side of the driver on which the brake booster 2 is disposed, and is close to the outside of the brake booster 2 in the vehicle width direction , and is connected to the dash panel 1 and the strut tower 3. The hood ledge panel 4 is disposed on a shelf 5 formed stepwise. A bracket 8 is joined to the shelf 5 and an ABS unit 7 is attached to the bracket 8 by bolts and nuts 9. As described above, the ABS unit 7 is provided on the shelf 5 between the dash panel 1 and the strut tower 3 in the vicinity of the brake booster 2 on the side where the brake booster 2 is provided. As a result, the brake pipe connecting the ABS unit 7 and the brake booster 2 can be shortened, so that the pressure loss of the brake fluid can be reduced and the brake responsiveness can be improved. In addition, it is advantageous in terms of cost and weight, and it is not necessary to arrange the brake pipe on the dash panel 1, so that the pulsation noise of the brake fluid does not propagate into the passenger compartment R. Further, since the ABS unit 7 is disposed behind the strut tower 3, the strut tower 3 functions as a protector in the event of a collision, and can perform protective measures in the event of a collision of the ABS unit without using a dedicated protector. Further, an ABS unit 7 having substantially the same weight is provided.
And the battery 6 are arranged symmetrically between the left and right strut towers 3 and the dash panel 1, and are arranged behind the front wheels (not shown), so that the weight balance at the front of the vehicle body is good,
It is possible to reduce the moment of inertia of the vehicle and improve the kinetic performance during acceleration and deceleration. Moreover, since both the ABS unit 7 and the battery 6 are arranged behind the strut tower 3, the amount of front overhang of the vehicle body can be reduced, and the degree of freedom in molding can be increased. As described above, according to the present invention, since the ABS unit is disposed close to the brake booster, the length of the brake pipe can be shortened, so that the pressure loss of the brake fluid is reduced. To improve brake responsiveness,
This is advantageous in terms of cost and weight, and furthermore, since it is not necessary to arrange the brake pipe on the dash panel, propagation of pulsation noise in the vehicle interior can be avoided. An ABS unit and a battery having substantially the same weight are arranged symmetrically on the shelf between the right and left strut towers and the dash panel, and are arranged rearward of the front wheels, so that the front of the vehicle body is arranged. The weight balance is good, the moment of inertia of the vehicle can be reduced, and the kinetic performance during acceleration / deceleration can be improved. Further, since both the ABS unit and the battery are arranged behind the strut tower, the strut tower can function as a protector in the event of a collision to protect them, and the amount of front overhang of the vehicle body can be reduced. It can be reduced and the degree of freedom in modeling can be increased.
