準として基盤2上面の所定位置に複数のイケール4がボ
ルト止めにて立設されている。そして各イケール4の上
端にクランプ受6とクランプ8または受け金10と基準
ピン12が取付けられている。クランプ8は流体圧シリ
ンダ14によって開閉可能とされ、クランプ8とクラン
プ受6との間に自動車用パネル部材16の周縁部を上下
方向から挟持できるようになっている。また基準ピン1
2は自動車用パネル部材16の周縁部の内側領域の複数

パネル部材16の位置決め精度として累積的に影響する

各部材の寸法誤差や組付け誤差ができるだけ生じないよ
うな設計が要求されることは勿論のこと、位置決め冶具
を組み上げた状態での最終的な組付け誤差が許容範囲内
に収まるように、各部材の許容寸法誤差を割り振ってい
かなければならない。また、各部材の加工は細心の注意
をもって行なう必要があるし、基盤2に対する番線の罫
書きやイケール取付用の多数のタップ孔形成にも多くの
手間がかかる。さらに、このようにして組付けた位置決
め冶具の精度が実際に許容範囲内にあるか否かを確認す
るための測定試験も不可欠である。 【0005】本発明の目的は、前述のような設計、加工
および組付け上の手間を大幅に低減可能な自動車用パネ
ル部材の位置決め冶具の製造方法を提供することにあ
る。 【0006】 【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を解決するため
本発明の自動車用パネル部材の位置決め冶具の製造方法
は、自動車用パネル部材を基盤の上方所定高さ位置にほ
ぼ水平にした状態で、前記自動車用パネル部材の周縁部
を前記基盤上に立設したクランプ手段で挟持すると共
に、前記自動車用パネル部材の周縁部の内側領域に形成
した基準孔に前記基盤上に立設した基準ピンの上端部を
嵌合させるようにした自動車用パネル部材の位置決め冶
具において、上端開口を有する槽体の底面に磁気吸着力
を作用させる工程と、前記自動車用パネル部材と同形の
モデルパネル部材に、前記クランプ手段と基準ピンを位
置決め時と同じ位置に仮固定する工程と、前記モデルパ
ネル部材に仮固定した前記クランプ手段と基準ピンの各
下端部を、前記槽体の底面に着座させ前記磁気吸着力に
より固定する工程と、前記槽体内に溶融樹脂を充填し固
化させることにより前記基盤を構成する工程とを有す
る。 【0007】このような位置決め冶具の製造方法によれ
ば、モデルパネル部材に仮固定したクランプ手段と基準
ピンの相対的位置関係が、そのまま完成品としての位置
決め冶具での最終的相対位置関係となるから、部材の加
工誤差や組付け誤差が自動車用パネル部材の位置決め精
度と無関係になり、位置決め冶具の設計、加工および組
付けなどの各工程で寸法に関係した各種作業が大幅に簡
略化される。 【0008】 【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の一実施形態を図1
に基づいて説明する。図1は本発明に係る位置決め冶具
を製造する際の1つの工程を示す。同図で20は上端が
開放された鋼製箱状の槽体であって、この槽体20は電
磁チャック22の水平面F上に水平に設置されている。
槽体20内底面上には複数本の受け金24が載置され、
この受け金24の上端部にクランプ手段Cと基準ピン1
2が固定されている。そして、位置決めしようとする
動車用パネル部材と同形のモデルパネル部材16aの周
縁部の所定複数個所に、クランプ手段Cのクランプ受6
が点溶接にて仮固定され、周縁部内側領域の複数箇所に
形成した基準孔に基準ピン12が嵌合され点溶接にて仮
固定されている。また受け金24の下端部には槽体20
内底面と面当接する座部26が形成され、この座部26
に電磁チャック22の磁気吸着力が作用して受け金24
が垂直に固定されるようになっている。 【0009】ここでクランプ手段Cとは、図2のように
クランプ受6、クランプ8および流体圧シリンダ14を
含むものであって、図1ではクランプ受6のみ示し、ク
ランプ8と流体圧シリンダ14は省略している。 【0010】次に、位置決め冶具の製造工程について説
明する。鋼製箱状の槽体20を電磁チャックの水平面F
上に載せ、位置決めしようとする自動車用パネル部材

ばポリウレタン系樹脂が好適である。樹脂28が完全に
冷却して固化すると、モデルパネル部材16aを各クラ
ンプ受6および基準ピン12から分離させて位置決め冶
具の製造を終了する。なお、溶融樹脂の充填量は、クラ
ンプ受6や基準ピン12の下方に溶接ガンを入れるため
の最低限の空間を確保できる程度を上限として行なう。 【0012】以上、電磁チャック22を使用した本発明
の一実施形態につき説明したが、本発明は前記実施形態
に限定されることなく種々の変形が可能である。 【0013】 【発明の効果】本発明は前述の如く、モデルパネル部材
にクランプ手段と基準ピンを仮固定した状態でクランプ
手段と基準ピンの下端部を電磁吸着力で槽体の底面に固
定するようにしたので、クランプ手段と基準ピンの相対
的位置関係が、そのまま完成品の位置決め冶具での最終
的位置関係となるから、部材の加工誤差や組付け誤差が
自動車用パネル部材の位置決め精度に影響することがな
くなり、位置決め冶具の設計、加工および組付けなどの
各工程で寸法に関係した煩雑な各種作業が大幅に簡略化
される。
