Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a roller pad type separation sheet feeding apparatus mounted on an apparatus having an automatic sheet feeding function. 2. Description of the Related Art In a device having an automatic paper feeding function, a roller pad constituted by pressing a separation pad with a suitable pressing force on a peripheral side of a separate roller (feeding roller) for feeding in a document. In many cases, a separation paper feeding device of the system is mounted. FIG. 4 shows, as an example, an outline of a separation sheet feeding device used in a transmission section of a facsimile machine.
Here, F indicates an apparatus main body, and C indicates a scanner cover (panel cover) which is attached to the upper part of the main body so as to be freely opened and closed.
Documents (not shown) to be set in the document setting section S on the upper portion of the main body are taken in one by one between the scanner sections 7 and 8.
The document transport path (arrow D) leading to is provided. A separate roller (feed roller) 1 is provided at the entrance side of the document conveying path so as to protrude from a guide surface of a document guide 4 on the main body side. A separation pad 2 is attached on the roller 1. ing. The separation pad 2 is made of a wide plate-like member. The base end of the separation pad 2 is fixed above the roller to the document guide 5 on the cover side, while the free end of the separation pad 2 is formed on the back side by a holding piece or retainer spring. The member 6 is pressed against the separate roller 1 with a predetermined pressing force. In this facsimile apparatus, when the separation roller 1 is rotated in the paper feeding direction during paper feeding, a plurality of documents inserted and set on a document guide 4 from a document setting section S above the rollers are separated. The document image is fed one by one through the pressing surface of the separation pad 2 in order from the lower one contacting with the document, and the document image is formed between the feed roller 7 provided on the exit side of the document conveyance path and the contact type image sensor 8. After being read, it is discharged outside the machine. A black rubber pad such as an EPT is generally used for the separation pad 2. However, the separation pad 2 has a purpose of improving the separation property of a document and a problem of a document conveyance path. Use to place components that dislike dirt on the downstream side,
Specifically, in a facsimile apparatus in which the white roller 7 and the contact image sensor 8 are arranged in the scanner section illustrated in FIG. 4, silicon must be used as the pad material because it is necessary to prevent the separation pad 2 from so-called “color fall”. Attempts have been made to apply. However, in the case where silicon is used as the pad material, there is a problem that an abnormal sound is generated when the original is fed and transported. As a result of repeated experiments and studies on the mechanism of the abnormal noise generation, the present inventor found that the cause was that the fixed base end portion 2a of the separation pad 2 and the pressing member 6 pressed the separate roller 1 as shown in FIG. Tip 2b
At the non-constrained portion 3 between them, it is found that the vibration is dependent on vibration (arrow B) in the thickness direction of the pad generated in the separation pad 2. The present invention provides a roller pad type separation sheet feeding apparatus that accurately prevents the generation of abnormal noise due to the vibration of the separation pad based on the results of such experiments and considerations. In the present invention, focusing on the above-mentioned cause of abnormal noise generation, in a roller pad type separation sheet feeding apparatus, a fixed base end portion and a presser are provided on the back side of the separation pad. A vibration damping member for suppressing vibration of the separation pad is provided at a non-constrained portion between the member and the front end pressed by the separate roller. The vibration damping member can be formed by a pad uneven portion which is integrally or separately added to a corresponding portion on the back surface of the pad, or an elastic member is brought into contact with a corresponding portion on the back surface of the pad. It may be. According to this structure, vibration in the thickness direction of the pad, which is generated at an unconstrained portion between the fixed base end of the separation pad and the front end pressed against the separate roller by the pressing member, is suppressed. be able to. FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment, in which a base end 2 fixed to a cover-side original guide 5 is provided on the back side of a separation pad 2.
A separate sheet member 9 is affixed as a vibration damping member at the non-constrained portion 3 between a and the front end portion 2b pressed against the separate roller 1 by the pressing member 6. The sheet member 9 may be made of silicon rubber of the same quality as the separation pad 2, or a dedicated vibration damping rubber or the like may be used. In addition, reference numerals indicating the respective components are commonly given to FIGS. 1 to 5. In this manner, the sheet member 9 is adhered to the rear surface side of the separation pad 2 at the intermediate non-constrained portion 3 and the uneven thickness portion is formed, so that the rigidity of the non-constrained portion 3 is increased, and vibration at the portion is reduced. As a result, generation of abnormal noise during operation is effectively prevented. The advantages of this embodiment in which a separate sheet is attached are that the existing separation pad 2 can be used, and that the sheet member 9 has a degree of freedom in selecting a vibration damping material different from the pad material. Can be Embodiment 2 FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment, in which an uneven thickness portion 9a for increasing the thickness of the intermediate unconstrained portion 3 is provided integrally on the back surface side of the separation pad 2. I have. Even with such a structure, for the same reason as in the first embodiment, it is possible to effectively prevent the generation of abnormal noise when the separation pad 2 operates. FIG. 3 shows a third embodiment. In this embodiment, a means for suppressing vibration is interposed on the back side of the separation pad 2 instead of the means for increasing the rigidity of the pad itself by making the separation pad 2 uneven in thickness. That is, the elastic member 10 is inserted into the document guide 5 on the cover side and the intermediate unrestricted portion 3 of the separation pad 2 via the pressing plate 11. In this method, the vibration in the thickness direction of the separation pad 2 is restrained by the elastic holding force of the elastic member 10, so that the generation of abnormal noise caused by the vibration can also be prevented. The mounting state of the elastic member 10 can be appropriately changed according to the state of the mounting structure of the separation pad 2 to the cover-side document guide 5 and the like. Regardless. The countermeasure for abnormal noise shown in the third embodiment can be used in combination with the first and second embodiments, if necessary. As described above, in the separation sheet feeding apparatus improved based on the present invention, the vibration damping member for suppressing the vibration of the separation pad is provided on the back surface side of the separation pad at the intermediate unrestricted portion. With the addition, it is possible to accurately prevent the noise generation phenomenon caused by the middle non-restricted portion of the separation pad vibrating in the thickness direction during operation.
