イヤ記憶部と、列車の間合いを抽出する指定区間に含ま
れる各駅及び列車ダイヤを前記ダイヤ記憶部から読み出
し、該区間の基準駅から隣接駅について列車が位置する
時間帯及び駅間を走行中の時間帯をビットデータ列とし
て抽出する処理を基準駅から区間端までの各駅別に行
い、該抽出した時間帯の論理和処理結果に含まれない時
間帯を列車運転の間合い時間帯として抽出する間合い抽
出部と、前記間合い抽出部が抽出した間合い時間帯を指
定区間別に保存・出力する間合い記憶部と、を備えたこ

または、同じ線路でなくても、別線区を並行して走って
いるような箇所は、隣接線路を合算線区と言う。例え
ば、図3の例では、E駅からB駅を経てA駅まで走行す
る列車はB駅で分岐し、A駅で折り返して再びB駅、さ
らにE駅まで走行する列車はB駅で分岐する。この場
