(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 車両に搭載され、該車両の前方に向けて
電磁波を発射する電磁波発射手段と、 上記車両が走行する車両用道路に沿って設置された複数
の街路灯と、 該各街路灯の支柱下部にそれぞれ設けられ、上記電磁波
発射手段から発射される電磁波を受けたとき特定の街路
灯を所定時間点灯させるディテクターとを備え、車両の
走行に伴ってその前方の街路灯が順次点灯するように構
成されており、 車両用道路が対向する2車線を有しかつ曲線状に湾曲し
ている場合その道路の湾曲外側に設置される街路灯にお
いては、上記ディテクターが二つ設けられ、一方のディ
テクターは、上記街路灯に近い側の車線上を該街路灯に
近付いて来る車両の方に向いて位置しかつ該車両から電
磁波を受けたとき該ディテクター付設側の街路灯を所定
時間点灯するように設けられており、他方のディテクタ
ーは、上記街路灯に遠い側の車線上を該街路灯に近付い
て来る車両の方に向いて位置しかつ該車両から電磁波を
受けたとき該ディテクター付設側の街路灯と道路を挟ん
で反対側に位置する街路灯を所定時間点灯するように設
けられて いることを特徴とする車両用道路の照明装置。
