A curved rail connecting the branch portions a and 2b is a power supply cable extending from a power supply point 5, and a leading end of the power supply cable 4 is wound around a cable reel installed on a quay crane (cable power supply type traveling machine). When running the quay crane in the direction of the straight rail 2a → the curved rail 2c → the straight rail 2b or vice versa, when running the quay crane in the direction of the straight rail 2b, the feeding cable 4 is extended from the cable reel on the quay crane. Then, it is dropped into a cable guide groove (not shown) provided in parallel with each of the rails 2a to 2b. When the vehicle is turned back and forth in the direction of the straight rail 2a, the power supply cable 4 is wound up by a cable reel on a quay crane.

Although the conventional quayside crane shown in FIG. 9 does not require the turntable 3, it has been estimated that a crane with a rail span of 30 m has a minimum radius outside the curved rail 2c of 90 m and a straight rail. In 2a and 2b,
A straight section 50 m closer to the quay corner side than the connection point with the curved rail 2c is required. Further, when repeatedly running in the direction of the straight rail 2a, it is necessary to sharply bend the power supply cable 4 into a horizontal plane near the connection point between the straight rail 2b and the curved rail 2c. There is a problem that it is difficult to turn the vehicle back and forth in the direction of the straight rail 2a.

As described above, in the cable-powered traveling machine of the present invention, the cable-powered traveling machine travels from one straight rail having a feeding point to a curved rail and then to the other linear rail.
The cable reel on the traveling machine goes over the cable reversing device,
When the traveling machine stops and the power cable is dropped into the straight cable guide groove on the side of the other straight rail, and the traveling machine is turned back to the other straight rail → curved rail → one straight rail. Then, the cable guide drum of the cable reversing device is moved from the retracted position to the operating position immediately above the straight cable guide groove, and then the traveling machine is turned back and travels, and the power supply cable is turned 180 ° upward from the lower side of the cable guide drum. Then, since it is dropped into the curved cable guide groove and the feeding point side straight cable guide groove as it is, there is an effect that the traveling machine can be turned back to the feeding point side straight rail.
