2. Description of the Related Art As shown in FIG. 5, a ribbon 1 is attached to the upper end of a seed plate 2 so that the seed plate 2 can be hung on a cross bar 3, as shown in FIG. ,
The cathode 4 is assembled by the cross bar 3 and the ribbon 1. Conventionally, in order to make this ribbon 1, first, as shown in FIG.
The m seed plates 5 are manually fed one by one onto a cutting board 6 and cut into a plurality of pieces by a rotary blade 7 provided on the cutting board in the same direction as the feeding direction. Reference numeral 5a denotes a portion to be discarded as scrap at the left and right ends of the seed plate 5 in the transport direction, and is cut off simultaneously with the cutting by the rotary blade 7. Next, only the central two sheets 5b that were not cut off were stored in the container 8, and in the state of being stored in the container, were further transported to a cutting device having a rotating blade (not shown), where they were finely cut into ribbon sizes as illustrated. . The copper plate 5c thus prepared is usually 1
20 seeds are obtained from 5 seed plates. When the copper plate 5c is bent and attached to the upper end of the seed plate 2, the ribbon 1 is obtained. Reference numeral 5d denotes a portion which is cut off at the same time as the cutting by the rotary blade as in 5a and which is disposed of as waste chips.

The production of the conventional ribbon 1 is as described above, and a manual operation is always required for cutting. In addition, the seed plate 5 weighs about 7 kg per sheet, and several hundred sheets are processed a day, which is extremely labor intensive and the number of processed sheets is limited. In addition, the work is always dangerous because it is a manual operation, and a very large work space is required.

The operation of this embodiment will be described. First, a seed plate 12 stacked on a container 11 as shown in FIGS.
Is sucked by the vacuum pads 17 and 18 lowered by the cylinders 20 and 21 and lifted to a predetermined position. When the seed plate 12 is lifted to a predetermined position,
The gripper 22 moves forward by the detection signal of a detection member (not shown) for detecting this, and clamps the rear end of the seed plate 12. When the rear end of the seed plate 12 is gripped by the gripper 22,
The suction of the vacuum pad 17 is released, and the seed plate 12 is held by the vacuum pad 18 at the front end and the gripper 22 at the rear end. In this state, the support piece 26 and the support piece 29 advance along the guide rails 28 and 30, respectively, so that the front half of the seed plate 12 is positioned on the receiving portion 36 of the receiving base 35.
Then, the suction of the vacuum pad 18 is released, and the first half of the seed plate 12 falls on the upper surface of the receiving portion 36 and is received. After being received, the gripper 22 sandwiching the rear end advances further, so that the front end of the seed plate 12 reaches near the cutter 40 of the first cutting device 32. Thereafter, the cutter 40 moves upward to pass through the front end of the seed plate 12, and then moves downward to cut the front end 12a (a in FIG. 4). At the time of this cutting, the falling portion 37a of the transport roller portion 37 falls down, and the mixing prevention guide 39
Is turned upward, and the cut front end 12a is not sent to the second cutting device 33, and is reliably turned as a chip.
It is dropped from the opening that was opened by the fall of 37a (FIG. 3).

After the cutting, the falling portion 37a of the transport roller 37 returns to the state before the falling, and the next cutting is performed.
This cutting is performed twice at a predetermined feeding position (a position where the length of the ribbon becomes the vertical dimension from the position of A in FIG. 4) so that the length becomes a preset length (FIGS. 4B and C). Then, the central portion 12b of the seed plate 12 cut into two pieces is sequentially slid down the transport roller portion 37 one by one, sent to the second cutting device 33, and placed on the upper surface of the receiving table 41. Become. The rear end 12c of the seed plate 12 sandwiched by the grippers 22 at the time of the second cutting at the position C in FIG. 4 is turned into chips like the front end 12a, and after the falling portion 37a is again in the falling state. It is fed by the gripper 22 and dropped from the opening. As described above, since one seed plate 12 becomes two parts 12b, this cutting is

Pusher 43b approaches the guide 43a side to position both sides of the cut central portion 12b of the seed plate 12. Thereafter, the stopper 42 is released and moves upward, and the feed claw 45 pushes the central portion 12b into the rotary blade 47. The central portion 12b of the seed plate 12 sent to the rotary blade 47 is cut into a plurality of pieces by the rotary blade 47 in the same direction as the traveling direction (d in FIG. 4). Also at this time, both ends 12e in the traveling direction of the central portion 12b are cut off as chips. Since the central portion 12b of the seed plate 12 cut into two strips as described above becomes further ten copper plates 12d, this cutting is referred to as ten strip cutting.

According to the first to fourth aspects of the present invention, since the ribbon of the copper electrolytic cathode is formed,
It can be performed automatically without any human intervention. In particular, it is possible to cut off necessary seed plates by cutting off the front and rear ends of the seed plates having irregular shapes, which are no longer needed, as scraps and discarding the waste copper. Further, the number of processed sheets can be greatly increased, and workability can be significantly improved. Furthermore, since the operation is all automatic and there is no need to rely on human labor as in the prior art, safety is significantly improved. Furthermore, in addition to good quality and low labor cost, the seed plate can be cut by a first cutting device and a second cutting device arranged in series along the transport direction. Therefore, there is an excellent effect that the space is compact.
