Abstract

To provide an accessory, an accessory set, and an accessory assembly kit that allow a user to select from a wide variety of designs that suit his or her taste, and also allows easy size selection and fine adjustment.

Description

This invention relates to jewelry, jewelry sets, and jewelry assembly kits.

Conventionally, simplified accessories that have a support part for incorporating an ornament with a device to prevent it from falling off are known as a way to create original and unique accessories (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

However, because rings are generally hard and shaped, there are limitations to the range of designs that can be made. In addition, many rings cannot be adjusted in size, which can lead to problems such as confusion about which size to choose when purchasing, or the need for adjustments by a professional if there is even a slight change in size.

This invention was made in consideration of the above problems, and aims to provide accessories, accessory sets, and accessory assembly kits that offer a wide variety of designs so that users can choose from the wide variety of designs that suit their tastes, and that also allow easy size selection and fine adjustment.

This invention relates to an accessory characterized by having a first base part consisting of a chain, a second base part consisting of a thin metal wire connected to the first base part and forming a substantially circular shape, at least one charm attached to the first base part, and at least one decorative body through which the second base part is inserted.

The present invention also relates to an accessory set capable of forming a substantially circular accessory, characterized in that the accessory set has a first base part made of a chain, a second base part connectable to the first base part and made of a thin metal wire, a plurality of charms detachable from the first base part, and at least one decorative body through which the thin metal wire can be inserted.

The present invention also relates to an assembly kit for a generally circular accessory, characterized in that it includes a chain, a thin metal wire, a charm that is detachably attached to the chain, and at least one decorative body through which the thin metal wire can be inserted.

This invention has the excellent effect of providing accessories, accessory sets, and accessory assembly kits that allow users to choose from a wide variety of designs to suit their tastes, and that also allow easy size selection and fine adjustment.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
First embodiment/accessory
Fig. 1 is an external view showing an example of an accessory 10 according to the present embodiment, and Fig. 1(A) and Fig. 1(B) show different types (designs) of the accessory 10. Fig. 2 is a photograph showing a specific example of the accessory 10. Fig. 3 is an exploded view of the accessory 10 shown in Fig. 1(A).

Referring to Figures 1 to 3, the accessory 10 has a first base portion 11, a second base portion 12, a charm 13, and an ornament 14. In this embodiment, the accessory 10 is, for example, a ring.

The first base portion 11 is composed of a chain of 8 to 10 ring members. The diameter (longest part) of the ring members is, for example, 2 mm to 7 mm, preferably 3 mm to 5 mm, and more preferably about 4 mm.

The second base portion 12 is made of a thin metal wire 12W (shown by a broken line in FIG. 3A), and by connecting it to the first base portion 11, it forms an approximately annular accessory body (ring body 15) together with the first base portion 11 (FIG. 3C). The thin metal wire 12W is a member that can maintain its shape to a certain extent and can be deformed (at least one of elastic deformation, plastic deformation, and bending deformation, the same applies to the following embodiments), and can be made of, for example, a craft material (such as a so-called "9-pin") whose one end is bent into a ring shape in advance. The second base portion 12 is curved to fit the shape of the finger and connected to the first base portion 11. The ring body 15 is worn so that the first base portion 11 faces the back of the hand and the second base portion 12 faces the palm.

The decorative body 14 is a granular member having a through hole (not shown), such as a bead (acrylic beads, natural stone beads, metal beads, mirror balls, etc.). The second base part 12 is inserted into the through hole (Fig. 3 (A)). For example, the decorative body 14 is provided in a number sufficient to cover the entire second base part 12 except for both ends. The multiple decorative bodies 14 are, for example, the same type of beads, but different types of beads may be mixed. The first base part 11 and the second base part 12 are connected, for example, by a round ring 17 or the like.

Charm 13 is, for example, a pendant charm that hangs down from one connecting part (e.g., a round ring) 16 as a fulcrum. Charm 13 may be, for example, a collection of multiple beads (connected in a row or gathered into a bunch) (see Figures 1(A), 2, and 3(D)), or it may be a small part made of metal or the like that imitates various shapes (see Figures 1(B) and 2(A)). At least one charm 13 is attached to first base part 11 by connecting part 16.

As a result, the charm 13 hangs from the first base 11 with the connecting part 16 as a fulcrum, and when the accessory 10 is in use, it can move freely, allowing for enjoyable changes. Specifically, for example, the charm 13 sways back and forth in response to movements, enhancing the appeal of the accessory. Also, as shown in FIG. 1, multiple charms 13 (charm group 13G) may be attached to match the number of annular members on the first base 11, making the accessory more gorgeous. When multiple charms 13 are attached to one first base 11, all the charms 13 in the charm group 13G may be of the same type (motif) as shown in FIG. 1, or different types (motifs) may be mixed (see FIG. 2).

Note that the charm 13 and decorative body 14 described in this embodiment are merely examples, and can be modified to various designs and shapes other than those shown in Figure 1 (see Figure 2).

For example, the ring body 15 is set to several sizes (e.g., three sizes: S, M, and L) with the first base portion 11 having a constant length and the second base portion 12 (thin metal wire 12W) having different lengths. The second base portion 12 is a thin metal wire (e.g., 9-pin) that can be deformed while maintaining a certain shape, so the shape of the second base portion 12 can be adjusted to fit the finger (palm side). In other words, since more flexible size adjustment is possible compared to conventional rings made of hard metal (base metal, etc.), the number of sizes can be significantly reduced to several types (e.g., three types) compared to conventional sizes (e.g., 1 to 30). This makes it easier for the manufacturer of the ring 10 to manage the product, and easier for the user to select the size. In addition, the user can fine-tune the size by deforming the second base portion 12, so the size can be easily adjusted even if the size changes depending on the time of day or season.

As an example, the length of the second base portion 12 for the S size is, for example, 30 mm to 35 mm, preferably 32 mm to 34 mm, and more preferably about 33 mm, the length of the second base portion 12 for the M size is, for example, 35 mm to 40 mm, preferably 36 mm to 38 mm, and more preferably about 37 mm, and the length of the second base portion 12 for the L size is, for example, 38 mm to 43 mm, preferably 40 mm to 42 mm, and more preferably about 41 mm. The length of the first base portion 11 is, for example, 22 mm to 28 mm, preferably 23 mm to 27 mm, and more preferably about 25 mm.

However, this is not limiting, and different sizes may be set by varying only the length of the first base portion 11, or by varying the lengths of the first base portion 11 and the second base portion 12.

An example of a manufacturing method for the accessory (ring) 10 of this embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 4 and 5. First, as shown in Figure 4(A), a thin metal wire (e.g., 9-pin) 12W constituting the second base portion 12 and one or more ornamental bodies 14 are prepared (Figure 4(A)). The ornamental bodies 14 are, for example, beads with through holes (not shown), and here, multiple ornamental bodies 14 are prepared according to the size of the ring 10 (the length of the second base portion 12).

The thin metal wire 12W is inserted through the through hole of the decorative body 14 (Fig. 4(B)), and the other end of the thin metal wire 12W is formed into a ring shape to prevent it from slipping out. The thin metal wire 12W is then curved to fit the shape of the finger, forming the second base portion 12 (Fig. 4(C)). The previously formed ring portion of the thin metal wire 12W and the portion formed to prevent it from slipping out become the connecting portions 12A and 12B.

Then, the connecting portions 12A and 12B at both ends of the second base portion 12 are connected to the connecting portions 11A and 11B (round rings, etc.) at both ends of the first base portion 11. This forms the ring body 15 (Figure 4 (D)).

By varying the design, type, size, etc. of the ornament 14 on the second base portion 12, ring bodies 15 with a variety of designs can be formed. Also, by changing the length of the thin metal wire 12W, ring bodies 15 of several different sizes (e.g., three different sizes) can be formed as shown in Figures 4(F) to 4(H). As an example, Figure 4(F) shows an L size, Figure 4(G) shows an M size, and Figure 4(H) shows an S size.

Then, the connecting portion 16 of the desired charm 13 is attached and fixed to the first base portion 11 (at least one of the annular members) (FIG. 4(I)). This completes the formation of the ring 10. As shown in FIGS. 1(A) and 1(B), a charm 13 can be attached to each of the eight annular members. By increasing or decreasing the number of charms 13 of the same design, or by preparing multiple charms 13 with different designs, types, and sizes (lengths), and then threading the charm 13 selected from these through the first base portion 11, a ring body 15 with a variety of designs can be formed.

An example of attaching the charm 13 to the first base part 11 will be further described with reference to FIG. 5. The first base part 11 is, for example, a chain of eight continuous ring members. In this case, as shown in FIG. 5, the eight ring members may be divided into a first region R1 and a second region R2, and the charm 13 may be attached to each of the first region R1 side and the second region R2 side. In this case, the charm 13 may be attached to the first region R1 and the second region R2 in all of the eight ring members, or the charm 13 may be attached to the first region R1 and the second region R2 in some (e.g., two) of the eight ring members as shown in FIG. 5 (see FIG. 2 (D) and FIG. 2 (F)). For example, when attaching charms 13 with different designs as shown in FIG. 5, attaching charms 13 with different designs to the first region R1 and the second region R2 makes the designs of both regions more noticeable than attaching all of them to the first region R1 side.

For example, when a manufacturer of ring 10 provides a finished ring 10 to a consumer, the manufacturer may prepare multiple charms 13 (with different designs, sizes, motifs, etc.) that the consumer can choose from, and provide the ring with the charms 13 (including the number of charms) that meet the consumer's desire. The same applies to the length of the ornament 14 and the second base portion 12.

Second embodiment: Accessory and accessory set
Another example of the accessory (finger ring) 10 will be described with reference to Fig. 6. The same components as those already described are designated by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof will be omitted.

Referring to FIG. 6(A), the accessory (e.g., a ring) 10 is configured to have a substantially annular ring body 15 by connecting a first base portion 21 made of a chain and a second base portion 12 made of a thin metal wire.

The first base portion 21 has the same configuration as described above, except that it has a base side connecting means 24A on a part of the chain. The base side connecting means 24A is, for example, one side (e.g., the female side) of the screw-type fastener (clasp) 24.

At least one charm 23 can be attached to the first base portion 21. The charm 23 has the same configuration as described above, except that it has a connecting means (charm side connecting means) 24B. In other words, the charm 23 is a hanging charm that hangs down from one charm side connecting means 24B as a fulcrum. The charm side connecting means 24B is, for example, the other (e.g., the male side) of the screw-type fastener (clasp) 24. Figure 6 (B) shows the state in which the base side connecting means 24A and the charm side connecting means 24B are engaged.

This configuration makes it easier to attach and detach the charm 13 to and from the first base portion 21, compared to, for example, the charm 13 having the connecting portion 16 (e.g., a round ring) described in the first embodiment (Fig. 1, etc.). Although Figs. 6(A) and 6(B) illustrate an example in which the base side connecting means 24A is attached to one annular member of the chain, the base side connecting means 24A may be attached to each of the multiple annular members of the chain. For example, by attaching the base side connecting means 24A to each of the multiple annular members of the chain and changing (increasing or decreasing) the number of charms 13 attached to the first base portion 21, the ring 10 can easily be changed to one with a different impression.

In addition, in the case of the screw fastener 24, for example, by adopting a design (shape) that blends in with the charm 13, the screw fastener 24 (24B) itself becomes part of the design (even if the charm 13 is not attached), enhancing the appeal.

Also, as shown in FIG. 6(B), the fastening means 25 provided on the charm 23 may be a pull ring. In this case, the first base portion 11 has a configuration similar to that shown in FIG. 1, and the charm 23 is attached and detached by engaging and disengaging the fastening means (pull ring) 25 on the charm side with a part of the annular member.

In the second embodiment, the charm 23 is a part that can be attached and detached to the first base part 21 (11). In other words, in this case, the accessory set 30 may be a collection of parts that can form a substantially annular accessory 10. The accessory set 30 has a first base part 21 (11) made of a chain, a second base part 12 that can be connected to the first base part 21 (11) and is made of a thin metal wire 12W, a plurality of charms 23 that can be attached and detached to the first base part 21 (11), and at least one decorative body 14 through which the thin metal wire 12W can be inserted. The accessory set 30 is provided on the premise that, for example, at least one charm 23 can be attached and detached to the first base part 21 (11).

The multiple charms 23 do not all have to have the same design, and may have a mixture of charms with different designs, sizes, etc. Also, charms 23 having charm side attachment means 24B and charms 13 of the first embodiment may be mixed.

Also, a plurality of charms 23 (the maximum number) that can be attached to one first base portion 21 (11) (eight charms 23 in this example) may be considered as a charm group, and an accessory set 30 may be made having a plurality of such charm groups.

The accessory set 30 may also have a plurality of second base portions 12 through which the ornamental body 14 is inserted. In this case, it is preferable that the ornamental body 14 on the plurality of second base portions 12 be of different types (shapes, designs). Also, there may be a plurality of second base portions 12 with different lengths (size as a ring 10).

The accessory set 30 of this embodiment allows the user to select and attach at least one (a set) of the multiple charms 23 (or multiple charm groups) to the first base portion 21 (11) according to his or her own taste, and can also be replaced with another charm 23 (or charm group) as appropriate.

In addition, the user can select one of the multiple second base parts 12 to connect to the first base part 21 (11) as the second base part 12 according to his/her preference, and can also replace it with another second base part 12 as appropriate.

This improves the design of the accessory 10 and the convenience of size adjustment, and also increases the fun of changing the charm 23 and/or second base portion 12 to suit one's own tastes.

The accessory set 30 may be a combination of a charm 23 and a second base part 12 that are pre-assembled to create a cohesive design for the ring 10, or the user may be able to select (at the time of purchase, for example) any combination from among multiple types of charms 23 (or groups of charms) and multiple types of second base parts 12.

Third embodiment: Jewelry assembly kit
Next, an ornament assembly kit 50 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 7. The ornament assembly kit 50 is a kit with which the ornament 10 (e.g., a ring) of the first or second embodiment can be assembled, for example.

Referring to FIG. 7(A), the assembly kit 50 includes, for example, a chain 11, a thin metal wire 12W, a charm 13 (with a connecting portion 16), and an ornament 14. A user of the assembly kit 50 can assemble the ring 10 according to the first embodiment by following the procedure shown in FIG. 4. The charm 13 is attached to any desired location on the chain 11 by opening the connecting portion (e.g., a round ring) 16.

The thin metal wire 12W is, for example, straight (not curved), and can be cut to any length by the user depending on the number of ornamental bodies 14 to be inserted and the size of the finger. A sufficient number of ornamental bodies 14 are also provided as the second base portion 12 of the ring 10. Because the length of the thin metal wire 12W and the number of ornamental bodies 14 can be selected at will, it can be finished to a size that is more suited to the user's finger. This also allows for the fun of creativity.

However, the assembly kit 50 is not limited to this, and it is sufficient that some of the parts are configured to be assembled by the user, and other parts may be pre-assembled. For example, the part may include the second base portion 12 in a completed state (a state in which the metal wire 12W is inserted into the ornamental body 14), or the part may include the first base portion 11 and the second base portion 12 in a connected state (the ring body 15) (similar to the following embodiments).

As shown in FIG. 7(B), the assembly kit 50 also includes, for example, a chain 11, a metal wire 12W, a charm 23 with at least one charm-side fastening means 24B, an ornament 14, and at least one base-side fastening means 24A. A user of the assembly kit 50 can assemble the ring 10 according to the second embodiment (see FIG. 6(A) and FIG. 6(B)) in a similar procedure to that shown in FIG. 4. For example, the user can attach the base-side fastening means 24A to any location on the chain 11. In this case, the assembly kit 50 may be configured so that some of the parts can be assembled by the user, and other parts may be pre-assembled. For example, the base-side fastening means 24A may be attached to the chain 11 as a part in advance.

Although not shown in the figures, the assembly kit 50 includes, for example, a chain 11, a thin metal wire 12W, a charm 23 with a charm-side connecting means 25B, and an ornament 14. A user of the assembly kit 50 can assemble the ring 10 according to the second embodiment (see FIGS. 6(C) and 6(D)) in a similar procedure to that shown in FIG. 4. In this case, the assembly kit 50 only needs to be configured so that some of the parts can be assembled by the user.

It is preferable that the assembly kit 50 be accompanied by a guide (leaflet) explaining how to assemble the kit, and information such as the URL of a website (video website) that provides instructions on how to assemble the kit.

The assembly kit 50 may be a combination of charm 23 (13) and ornament 14 in a design that is well-balanced for the ring 10, or the user may be able to select one or more combinations at will (at the time of purchase, etc.) from multiple types of charm 23 or charm group 23G candidates and multiple types of ornament 14 candidates. Providing multiple types of charm 23 and ornament 14 can further enhance the user's taste.

As described above, according to this embodiment, it is possible to provide an ornament (particularly a ring) 10 with a new design that differs from conventional general designs.

Furthermore, by preparing a plurality of charms 13, 23 and/or second base portions 12 (with different sizes or types of ornaments 14) so that the user can select at will or by making them interchangeable, a greater variety of ring designs can be provided for the ring 10, expanding the range of choices available to the user to suit their own tastes and increasing satisfaction.

Furthermore, because the second base portion 12 can be fine-tuned by the user, the number of sizes available can be reduced compared to conventional rings. This means that product management is easier for manufacturers, and size selection and fine adjustments are easier for users.

In the above, in this embodiment, the accessory 10 is a finger ring, but this is not limited to this, and other accessories such as bracelets and anklets can be used in the same manner and provide the same effects.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can of course be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

The jewelry, jewelry sets and jewelry assembly kits of the present invention can be used in the jewelry industry.
