この実用新案は、死角となる車両側面下の地面付近を、常に運転席から確認できるドアミラーに関するものである。
従来鏡の反射面は、映す範囲を拡大する為、曲率半径の工夫、又は複数の曲面を境界無く成型した凸面鏡であり、後方や側方を主に設定すれば後タイヤの位置は見えず、駐車場では駐車枠のラインが見えなかった。この為ドアを開けて確認するか、電動ミラーでは向きを変えて見る、又は、補助ミラーの追加など極めて不自由であった。
本考案はその欠点を補う為、図１の様に、従来の鏡面１と、下部専用鏡面２を３に示す様に任意の位置で分割し、２の鏡面にて常に運転席から見える様にしたものである。
