本考案者が考案した鎧付き布製折り畳み式ジャバラは、布製カバー布1、樹脂板2、短冊状体(鎧)3から構成されており、ジャバラ伸縮時に於いて短冊状体(鎧)3同士が接触稼動を繰り返す結果、この短冊状体(鎧)3の表面が摩擦により研磨され初期の短冊状体(鎧)3の質感や美観が失われ次第に摩耗粉が発生し汚れが酷くなり、同時に摩耗粉による擦れ音を生じる問題があった。
そこで、短冊状体(鎧)3と短冊状体(鎧)3の間に異なる材質(実施例では樹脂製薄板4)を挿入係止させ短冊状体(鎧)3同士の直接接触を間接接触にする事で、この問題を解決している。
