このため従来型のスピナーでは回転集魚板の回転により生じる慣性力によって本体が回転してしまい糸よれの原因となり、また集魚効果を狙い回転集魚板を増設すると、進行方向前側の回転集魚板により生じた圧力が後ろ側の回転集魚板連結具を圧迫してしまい二枚目以降の回転を阻害し複数枚の運用は事実上不可能なものにしていた。
