フノリ類等の胞子を固着しやすいようにするため、育成・増殖礁の表壁面や育成・増殖板の表壁面に多くの凸凹(図2−3着床凸凹面の拡大図)をつくる。
フノリ類等の胞子の採取は、母藻を海水の入った採苗水槽(図3)に入れて、母藻から遊走子を放出させて、その後、育成・増殖礁や育成・増殖板などを採苗水槽にいれて凸凹の表壁面に胞子を固着させる。
フノリ類が成長し老成、脱落した後、育成・増殖礁を海岸、海中より引き揚げ再度フノリ類等の遊走子・胞子を固着させて養殖を行う。
マツモやフクロノリの胞子の採取方法についても、フノリ類の採取方法と同じように行い、コンクリート製(U字型)の育成・増殖礁や育成・増殖板などを採苗水槽に入れて胞子を固着させ海岸や海中に移動し養殖を行う。
