市販されている傘カバーは、内部に濡れた傘からの水滴がたまり、その水を処理する事が必要となるものもある。
電車などに乗った場合には、濡れた傘が、自分や他人の体や衣服に触れ不快である。
この様な問題を解決するために様々な傘カバーが提案されている。
例えば、出し入れしやすいようにオープンファスナーを付けたもの（特許文献１参照）、カバーを紛失しないように、傘本体に付けておくことができるもの（特許文献２参照）、傘の水滴を吸収できるもの（特許文献３参照）などがある。In the past, when umbrellas that were wet in the rain were put together, the umbrella cloth must be wrapped around while touching the wet umbrella and fastened with the name band attached to the umbrella body.

それらを、解決するために、傘カバーを使用したいが、現存の傘カバーには次のような問題点があった。
ア）傘と共布で作られている傘カバーは、サイズがほとんど傘と同じで、装着させづらく、また、一度使うと湿ってしまい、湿ったカバーを持ち歩くのも、再度傘へ装着するのも大変である。
イ）建物の入り口などに設置されているビニール袋の傘カバーは、とても便利であるが、使い捨てであり、不経済である。
ウ）特許文献１において、使用後カバーを折りたためるとあるが、長傘の長さ分の布にファスナーが付いているのでたたみづらく、また、傘カバー使用時はファスナーを閉め、更に留め紐で巻いてボタンを留めるので手間がかかる。取り出す時も同様にボタンをはずして、ファスナーを開けるので、指先を使わなければならない。
エ）特許文献２において、傘の柄の部分からカバーを被せるのは、傘の骨の先端をまとめながら挿入するので装着させづらい。
オ）特許文献３において、カバー底の部分が縫い込まれて閉じられている形状のため傘の長さに合わないこともある。また、吸収した水分の重さで抜け落ちてしまう可能性もある。更に、ジッパーをつけている場合、小さく折りたたむ事は困難なので携帯には適さない。

本考案の傘カバー（Ａ）は図１に示すような形態をしていて、裏生地に吸水性のある布と、表生地に撥水、または防水性のある布地を縫い合わせるという形か、または、防水性に優れ、且つ速乾性に富む生地の一枚仕立ての形で円筒状に形成され、円筒状の両端は開口され、傘カバー（Ａ）として装着した場合において、傘柄側の開口部を手元開口部（１）と称し、傘先側の開口部を先方開口部（２）と称するが、手元開口部（１）及び、先方開口部（２）のそれぞれの縁端から、少し内側の辺りに伸縮性ゴム紐（６）で絞り部を設け、手元開口部（１）側を手元絞り部（３）と称し、先方開口部（２）側を先方絞り部（４）と称するのであるが、手元絞り部（３）の近傍にひっかけ紐輪（５）を設ける。
本考案は以上のような形態であり、これを実際に使用する時は、図２に示す様に手元開口部（１）を広げ、傘（Ｂ）の先端より入れていく。
手元開口部（１）は、傘（Ｂ）が入りやすいように、大きく開かれている。そのため傘（Ｂ）は本体に付いているネームバンドで留めなくても、安易に入れることが出来る。
図３で示すように、手元絞り部（３）及び先方絞り部（４）が伸縮性ゴム紐（６）で絞られているので、傘（Ｂ）の太さに合わせて伸縮することが可能であり、傘（Ｂ）からのずれ落ちを防止する。
傘（Ｂ）を使用する時は手元開口部（１）より傘カバー（Ａ）を抜き、図４で示す様に手元開口部（１）と先方開口部（２）を、中心に向かって折り、それを更に合わせ折り、ひっかけ紐輪（５）を巻き、留める。
図５は傘（Ｂ）の使用中、傘（Ｂ）の柄に折りたたんだ傘カバー（Ａ）を、ひっかけ紐輪（５）で吊して持ち歩く時の図である。
このようにしておけば、再度利用する時に探さなくてもすぐに使用可能である。
