Description
The present invention relates to a surface light emitting device used for an internally illuminated signboard (hereinafter referred to as an internally illuminated signboard).
The structure of the internally illuminated signboard is a system in which an acrylic plate or a glass plate on which characters or pictures are drawn is directly or indirectly irradiated from behind using a fluorescent lamp, LED, or the like as a light source.
Large internally-lit signboards illuminate the light guide plate with a direct light source such as a fluorescent lamp or LED (hereinafter referred to as the “laying method”) on the bottom surface of the signboard and an LED light source placed on the side of the signboard. It is roughly divided into methods (hereinafter referred to as light guide plate methods).
Non-Patent Document 1 shows an example of a laying method using a fluorescent lamp as a light source, and Non-Patent Document 2 shows an example of a light guide plate method using an LED as a light source.
The feature of the laying method is that the production cost is low because the structure is simple, but the thickness of the signboard cannot be thin because it is limited by the size of the light source and the luminaire. Furthermore, in this method, in order to make the illuminance uniform, it is necessary to close the light source arrangement interval and attach the diffusion sheet to the front surface of the signboard. In particular, when a highly directional LED is used as a light source, the use of a diffusion sheet is a necessary condition.
The feature of the light guide plate method is that the light source is placed on the side of the signboard and the surface light is emitted by the light guide plate, so that the thickness of the signboard can be reduced compared to the laying method. The size of the signboard is limited due to the attenuation of illuminance. In general, the length of the light guide plate is limited to about 60 cm. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide a reflector on the back surface of the light guide plate to prevent a decrease in illuminance, and the structure becomes complicated, so that the manufacturing cost is significantly higher than the laying method.
As a response to a low-oxygen society, the development of a large-sized surface light-emitting device that is a low-cost product is desired in response to the needs of the era when the use of LEDs as light sources increases.
The present invention is intended to eliminate the disadvantages of the conventional method, such as reducing the thickness and size restrictions of the interior lighting type signage and reducing the manufacturing cost and maintenance cost by reducing the use of expensive special parts. It is.
Further, there has been a demand for a method capable of easily remodeling the conventional system into a high-performance economical internally illuminated signboard by utilizing the present invention.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a
Furthermore, the diffuse reflection effect of light is promoted by providing corrugated irregularities on the coating surface. There are two methods, one is to apply paint to the wall surface with unevenness with a certain thickness, and the other is to apply unevenness with the coating thickness.
A general highly reflective functional paint is used as a heat shielding material that does not require an irregular reflection function (Non-Patent Document 2).
As described above, the present invention solves the drawbacks of the prior art.
The effects of the device are described in the bullet points below.
(1) The diffuse reflection effect of the highly reflective paint applied to the inside of the internally illuminated signboard eliminates the need for light guide plates, diffusion sheets, and the like required by conventional indirect lighting devices using LEDs as light sources.
(2) The number of light sources can be greatly reduced by the above effect. According to experiments, the same effect can be expected with about 80% of the number of light sources compared to the conventional method.
(3) Therefore, the device becomes simple, and even if the cost of the high reflectance paint is taken into consideration, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced. According to a trial calculation, the manufacturing cost is about 50% or less of the conventional internal illumination type device.
(4) The maintenance cost can also be reduced as a result of the reduced number of parts.
(5) There is no restriction on the size of the apparatus, and indirect lighting in a large-scale space is possible, and expansion of applications can be expected.
{Circle around (6)} An existing signboard can be easily modified to an efficient function by attaching a sheet coated with a reflectance paint or a metal plate to the inside of the internally illuminated signboard.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the surface light emitting device according to the present invention applies a highly reflective paint and directly reflects light from the
The
An object of the present invention is to provide unevenness on the coated surface to improve the efficiency of diffused reflection of light, to widen the interval between light sources, and to achieve uniform illumination.
As described above, an internally illuminated lighting signboard having the same performance as the conventional light guide plate system can be manufactured at low cost.
This is because expensive parts such as a light guide plate, a diffusion sheet, and a reflection sheet are not required, and the structure is simplified. Since the light guide plate that restricts the size of the signboard is not required, it can be used for expanding applications such as indirect lighting of the entire wall surface.
Therefore, it is possible to indirectly illuminate a large space wall surface using the present invention.
The use of advertising signs on stations and buildings and indirect lighting on building walls contributes to a reduction in equipment costs and maintenance costs compared to conventional construction methods, and can contribute to a low-carbon society.
Another application is a microwave line, which can be applied to reflectors that can communicate by changing the path of electromagnetic waves when direct communication between parabolic antennas is impossible on topography.
