Abstract
【課題】低額で寿命も長く、ランニングコストが安い。
【解決手段】紫外線ランプに代わり、紫外線LEDを使う。紫外線LEDは単純に紫外線のみ発生させるので、熱の発生は殆んど無く、熱対策は必要なく、設備を簡素化できてコスト削減が実現できる。また、寿命も長くランニングコストは大幅に低減される。紫外線LEDの弱点である1個当りの照射エネルギーが小さいことは、LEDを多数並べて面状に照射することで、解決する。加工被体の大小や、加工スピードは、面状照射板の組み合わせによる面積の変更で解決する為、面状照射板を組み合わせて、簡単に拡大・縮小出来る構造とした。

紫外線硬化樹脂は紫外線を照射すると短時間で硬化するため、工程が短く、加工装置も小型化が可能で、省エネルギー、省資源化を実現する。
紫外線硬化樹脂の加工には、通常紫外線ランプが使われている。
紫外線ランプは紫外線を発生させるが、同時に不必要な可視光線、赤外線(熱線)を発生させるためその対策が必要である。
紫外線ランプから発生する赤外線(熱線)は加工被体へ熱ダメージを与えることが問題となり、赤外線遮断層の設置や冷却装置が必要である。
紫外線ランプは高いエネルギー発生のため、その寿命が短く、高い頻度でランプの交換が必要である。
LEDの中には効率よく紫外線を発生するものが開発されつつある。
LEDは1個に対して非常に少ないエネルギーで発光するものがある。
LEDを多数並べて、紫外線ランプと同様の紫外線硬化を実現することが可能となる。

紫外線LEDは単純に紫外線のみを発生させるので、最も効率的に紫外線硬化が実現できる。
紫外線LEDは赤外線(熱線)を発生させないため、その対策は不必要である。
LEDは寿命が永く、3万時間〜5万時間が有効期間とされており、紫外線ランプの約5倍〜10倍であり、紫外線硬化に掛かるコストを大幅に削減できる。
LEDの消費電力は1平方m当り約200Wと小さく、紫外線ランプの消費電力の半分以下で、省エネルギーが実現できる。
紫外線LED1個当りのエネルギーは小さいものの、多数のLEDを平面板状に並べて、均一に加工被体を照射するため、加工被体の熱ダメージは起こらない。
紫外線LEDは殆んど熱を発生させないため、装置が簡素で設備に掛かるコストが大幅に削減される。
紫外線照射板をたて・よこに組み合わせて、自由なサイズ変更が出来るので、小さな加工被体、大きな加工被体、高速加工被体など、対応が簡単である。
紫外線照射板は筒状の内側、外側にも設置出来るので、ロール上での加工も可能である。
紫外線照射板は、万一断線や故障があっても、小さな1枚単位の交換が出来るので簡単に修復でき、従来の紫外線ランプ交換に比べ、大幅なコストダウンを実現する。
