Abstract

【課題】表面研磨を施した貝殻を利用した、新規な風合を有する貝殻製装身具を提供する。
【解決手段】透明ないし半透明の宝石類を用いて所定のモチーフの表面部材を形成し、この表面部材の背面に表面研磨を施した貝殻からなる背面部材を透明な接着剤を用いて積層したことを特徴とする貝殻製装身具。

しかしながら、その際に使用される貝殻の形態としては、下記の例が存在する。
すなわち、特開平０８−２５２１０７号公報（特許文献１参照）には、貝殻を以て構成した同貝殻の内側光沢面がそのまま露呈した半製品と、当該内側光沢面に金属膜の被着部および同内側光沢面の露呈部の組合せにより形成された図形、文字、記号等パターンと、パターン形成部に被着したトップコートとから成ることを特徴とする貝殻製品が記載されている。また特開平０８−２５２１０６号公報（特許文献２参照）には、貝殻に切削等機械加工を施して同貝殻の内側光沢面がそのまま露呈した半製品を構成し、この半製品の内側光沢面に金属膜を等しい厚さで設け、当該金属膜の上面に光透過性を備えた保護被膜を設けたことを特徴とする貝殻製品が記載されている。さらに特開平０７−１８４７０９号公報（特許文献３参照）には、下層に貝殻若しくは光沢を有する樹脂の細片を配すると共に金属片が浮遊してなる透明な樹脂層を一体に成形してなることを特徴とする装飾品が記載されている。
