When the hair dryer is in use, for some reason, for example, a towel or the like inadvertently hangs to block the suction port or the air outlet, and in the case of a hair blower, for example, a brush attachment or the like is used. If the hair is excessively wound around the air outlet, the air blowing capacity is temporarily reduced and reduced, whereby the air temperature rises abnormally. However, in such a case, if the thermostat does not respond immediately and the response time is delayed, the hair or parts may be damaged or burned by high heat. Therefore,
It is important that the thermostat responds immediately to rising wind temperatures. However, when looking at the temperature distribution on the cross-shaped heater substrate on which the thermostat is installed, the wind temperature passing on the outer peripheral side near the heater is high, and the wind temperature passing near the center of the substrate far from the heater is low. There is. If the thermostat is installed in a place where the wind temperature is low,
The thermosensitive part of the thermostat is cooled by directly receiving the low temperature wind. For this reason, even if the blowing capacity is reduced for some reason as described above and the wind temperature rises abnormally, the response time of the thermostat is delayed, and it is not possible to immediately respond to the abnormal rise in temperature.

In a windshield fixedly arranged on the windward side of the thermostat, wind having a low temperature from the blower fan can be prevented from directly hitting the thermostat, but the wind hitting the windshield is always located on the leeward side of the windshield. In order to cause turbulence, even during normal air blowing, the turbulence caused a change in the air volume and air temperature in the vicinity of the thermostat behind the windshield, causing variations in the hot air temperature, and cutting when the thermostat did not need to be cut, The wind temperature may not be stable. Therefore, it is difficult to set the thermostat and the windshield at any position. Such a problem is not limited to the hair dryer, and the same can be said for a hot air kotatsu or a hot air heater.

During normal air blowing, the wind shield means 14 on the windward side of the heat-sensitive element 12 opens a ventilation path between the heat-sensitive element 12 and the blower fan 7, so that turbulence is generated and the temperature of the hot air varies. As a result, the thermal element 12 does not malfunction due to a variation in the temperature of the hot air. Further, at the time of normal air blowing, the wind having a low wind temperature always hits the heat-sensitive element 12 and is cooled, so that the heat-sensitive element 12 can always be supplied without operating the heat-sensitive element 12. If the air volume decreases for some reason, the warm air temperature rises abnormally, but at this time, the wind shield means 14 closes the ventilation path between the heat sensitive element 12 and the blower fan 7 and directly hits the heat sensitive part of the heat sensitive element 12. The low-temperature air that has cooled the heat is cut off or extremely reduced, and the temperature of the heat-sensitive element 12 easily rises as the temperature of the hot air rises, and the temperature immediately responds to the excessive temperature rise.

Therefore, according to the present invention, the wind shield means 14 which opens and closes on the windward side of the thermal element 12 according to the increase and decrease of the air flow.
Is provided, the thermosensitive element 12 operates correctly at the time of normal air blowing, can respond immediately at an excessive temperature rise, and has a quick response time.
Advantageously, scorching and damage of hair and parts due to delay in response time can be prevented, and safety can be improved.

When the vertical plate 15b receives wind pressure, as shown in FIG. 1B, the end of the vertical plate 15b The horizontal plate 15a elastically deforms downward and opens until it hits the notch end 9a or the like, and the heat-sensitive portion of the heat-sensitive element 12 is cooled by the low-temperature wind separated from the heater 5. However, when a situation occurs in which the amount of air blows decreases for some reason, the wind pressure received by the vertical plate 15b of the wind shield plate 15 also decreases as shown in FIG. To prevent the heat-sensitive part of the heat-sensitive element 12 from being cooled by the low-temperature wind separated from the heater 5, and the heat-sensitive part of the heat-sensitive element 12 quickly reacts to the temperature in the main body case 1. However, as a result, there is no delay in the response time due to the low-temperature air, and the power supply to the heater 5 is interrupted by immediately detecting the excessive temperature rise. For this reason, for example, even if the hair volume is too low around the attachment 4 and the air volume is reduced, the heat-sensitive element 12 is activated before the hair is scorched by the hot air, and the wind temperature is reduced, so that the burning can be prevented.

In the above-described embodiment, the amount of air for inclining the wind shield plate 15 is set on the basis of, for example, 1200 W in the case of a 600 W / 1200 W switching type hair-blosser.
That is, the heater temperature at the time of strong wind / hot wind (1200 W) is considerably higher than 600 W, and especially when the air volume is significantly reduced in this use state, the inside of the dryer body and the blowing temperature become abnormally high. Therefore, the wind shield plate 15 depends on the air flow at 1200 W.
Are set to be opened by the wind pressure to open a ventilation path between the heat-sensitive element 12 and the blower fan 7. Then, if the air flow at 1200 W is cut by 60 to 80% or more, for example, as in the case where the hair is wound around the attachment 4 more than the required amount, the vertical plate of the wind shield plate 15 The wind pressure applied to the heat-sensing element 15b is also reduced, and the wind-shielding plate 15 is set up so as to close the ventilation path between the heat-sensing element 12 and the blower fan 7 in order to cut off the low-temperature wind hitting the heat-sensitive element 12 due to the elastic restoring force. However, the set value of the amount of air blown or raised by the wind shield plate 15 is not limited to such, and is arbitrarily changed according to the model and shape of the hot air blower, the wattage used, and the like.

As the wind shield means 14, instead of a metal plate such as a stainless steel plate, a wind shield plate made of a synthetic resin thin plate may be used. 15 Instead of using the spring action of itself,
As shown in FIG. 10, a wind shield plate 15 is pivotally mounted on a heater substrate 11 so as to be rotatable around an axis 18, and a torsion coil spring 19 for urging the closing or a tension spring 20 as shown in FIG.
Can also be used in combination. Further, as shown in FIG. 12, holes 21 having different hole diameters may be arranged in the wind shield plate 15 to adjust an appropriate spring force with respect to the air volume.
