【従来の技術】
道路や屋内通路にそって施設される側溝において、その集水作用を確保しながら開口面を覆い、歩行や車両の通行に供せしめる鋼製グレーチングは、従来から一般的に種々採用実施されてきている。すなわち、コンクリート側溝などの開放面に対して係合する枠材内に綱片をその幅方向と長さ方向にそって交叉状に組み込んだ蓋状部体であるグレーチングは、前記綱片をその幅方向と長さ方向にそって配列交叉したもので、路面における雨水や排水などを効率よく集水し、側構内に落とし込むことにより冠水を防ぎ、なおも開口部の蓋上において人や車両の通行に支障をきたさないようにするものである。

一般的な溝蓋用グレーチングにおいては、コンクリート側溝の肩状支持部において嵌合され使用されているが、その態様としては、固定安定化のためと、主として美観の観点から、きっちりと隙間なく固定されているのが通常である。

そのようにきっちりと固定されたグレーチングにおいては、コンクリート側溝の支持部とグレーチングの側板部、あるいはグレーチングの側板部同士の間に細かな砂、細かなゴミが溜まりやすく、その結果として側溝とグレーチングの隙間に汚水が滞留することになってしまっていた。これら汚水は、量は少ないものの腐敗しやすく、悪臭のもとになるなど衛生的に問題となるものであった。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
したがって本願考案の目的は、コンクリート側溝の支持部とグレーチングの側板部、あるいはグレーチングの側板部同士の間に砂やゴミ、ひいては汚水が滞留することのないグレーチングを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
かかる目的を達成するための考案は、側板部に切り欠き部を設けたことを特徴とするグレーチングである。

【考案の実施の形態】
以下、本考案の構成を図１及び２に示す実施の形態に即して説明する。
図１は本考案の第一の実施の形態を示す斜視図である。グレーチングの長手方向側板部に長方形の切り欠き部を設けてある。切り欠き部の形状は特に限定されるものではないが、長方形又は三角形が製造上有利であると考えられる。切り欠き部の数も特に限定されることはないが、通常はグレーチングの側板部について１〜６個、好ましくは２〜５個が適当である。図２は本考案の第二の実施の形態を示す斜視図である。グレーチングの幅方向側板部に三角形の切り欠き部を設けてある。切り欠き部の形状や数は、第一の実施の形態と同様である。

【考案の効果】
以上説明した形態により、本考案のグレーチングは、コンクリート側溝の支持部とグレーチングの側板部、あるいはグレーチングの側板部同士の間に砂やゴミ、ひいては汚水が滞留することがなく、汚水が腐敗して悪臭を放つなどという問題を起こすことがない。
