Description

【0001】

[Technical field to which the invention belongs]
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a packing pad used as a guard material for sandwiching or covering articles during packing.
[0002]
[Prior art]
When transporting luggage by truck or the like, relatively fragile luggage is covered with a packing pad made of cushioning guard material and tied with a rope. In many cases, it is covered with foamed polystyrene or the like, a patch plate is placed thereon, and a rope is laid. However, the foamed polystyrene may come off from the backing plate in the middle of the rope, making the work difficult and extremely troublesome. On the other hand, if a rope is laid alone with foamed polystyrene without using a backing plate, the foamed polystyrene is not flexible and has low strength, so that it is cracked or broken. If a rope is laid by directly hitting the backing plate to the luggage without using polystyrene foam, the impact cannot be reduced and the luggage is adversely affected. Further, since polystyrene foam is too light, it is often blown away by the wind and crushed when placed temporarily during work. In addition, if another device accidentally hits or steps on the device during the operation, it is easily collapsed. As described above, foamed polystyrene is not always suitable as a packing pad, but is widely used because it is relatively inexpensive.
[0003]
On the other hand, a polyolefin resin foam is more suitable as a guard material in terms of flexibility and strength than foamed polystyrene. However, it is slippery and has no friction, so when stacking things packed with this as a pad, it will collapse. Polyurethane foam can also be used as a packing pad for the guard material, but again has too little friction, making it difficult to use as a packing pad. Although plywood is also used, it is difficult to use because its thickness is small due to its weight.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a packing pad that has a moderate cushioning property as a guard material, provides sufficient friction, can be mass-produced at low cost, and can be reused repeatedly. And
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As shown in FIG. 1 corresponding to an embodiment, a packing pad 10 to which the present invention has been made to achieve the above object has a plate-like foamed polyethylene 2 and / or a foamed polyurethane 2 on at least one surface of which is a nonwoven fabric. 3 and 4 are laminated.
[0006]
Since the packing pad 10 is configured as described above, the plate-like foamed polyethylene 2 and the foamed polyurethane 2 absorb and disperse an impact force and a partial or local force. And maintain a moderate bulkiness that is easy to use. The nonwoven fabrics 3 and 4 on both sides also absorb and disperse the impact force and partial and local forces, and protect the plastic foam 2. Further, the nonwoven fabrics 3 and 4 have a large friction, so that they are difficult to slip.
[0007]
The nonwoven fabrics 3 and / or 4 are preferably needle-punched nonwoven fabrics having a basis weight of 100 to 1000 g / m 2 . As the material of the nonwoven fabrics 3 and / or 4, synthetic fibers such as polypropylene fibers, polyester fibers, and acrylic fibers, regenerated fibers such as rayon, and natural fibers can be used. The material shapes of the nonwoven fabric 3 and the nonwoven fabric 4 do not necessarily have to be the same, and may be different as appropriate. Further, a nonwoven fabric in which fibers are fixed to each other with a synthetic resin adhesive after needle punching may be used.
[0008]
The foamed polyethylene 2 and the foamed polyurethane 2 can be appropriately implemented when the internal cells are closed cells. Since the cells are closed cells, moisture does not penetrate into the inside even if the cells are wetted by rain or the like, so that they dry quickly and can be reused.
[0009]
As shown in FIG. 1, the plate-like foamed polyethylene 2 and / or foamed polyurethane 2 is preferably formed by laminating thin layers of foamed polyethylene or / and foamed polyurethane by heat fusion in multiple layers. Foamed polyethylene has a moderate rigidity and a cushioning property is preferable as a guard material. Further, by laminating thin plates in multiple layers, the bending strength and the tensile strength can be improved as compared with a single layer having the same thickness. In addition, since different types of materials do not mix due to the heat fusion, the time and effort for collecting and reusing as waste can be omitted, and the reusability can be improved.
[0010]
It is more preferred that the foamed polyethylene plate and the foamed polyurethane plate are bonded together. Foamed polyurethane is inexpensive and lightweight, and is inferior in flexibility and strength. However, by adhering to foamed polyethylene, these defects can be compensated, and the whole can be made inexpensive and lightweight.
[0011]
Also, the packing pad 10 of the present invention usually has a plate thickness that can be used on a substantially flat surface 5 in relation to the size of the rectangle, as shown in FIG. Is preferred. Although the thickness of the self-supporting plate differs depending on the size even with the same material, the work of attaching the pad 10 to the luggage becomes easy because each of the packing pads 10 can be self-standing.
[0012]
[Embodiment of the invention]
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.
[0013]
The packing pad 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 has a structure in which four layers of a plate-like foamed polyethylene 2 are provided, and nonwoven fabrics 3 and 4 are overlapped. This packing pad is manufactured by the following procedure.
[0014]
As materials, four sheets of closed-cell foamed polyethylene and two sheets of polyester fiber needle-punched non-woven fabric are cut and prepared to have the same predetermined size. First, four thin sheets of foamed polyethylene are heated to about the softening point and superimposed and lightly pressed, and the nonwoven fabric is superimposed on the upper and lower sides while heating is pressed lightly. This is naturally cooled, integrated, and then ear-dropped. Then, as shown in FIG. 1, each side of the packing pad 10 is trimmed, and the packing pad 10 can stand alone regardless of which side is placed on the flat surface 5.
[0015]
The above-mentioned lamination joining of the foamed polyethylene sheets may be performed by spraying or applying an adhesive (a heating system or a non-heating system) or a hot-melt hot-melt film in addition to the above-mentioned heat fusion. Heat fusion may be used in which the sheets are bonded to a thin plate and heated. In order to join the nonwoven fabric to the top and bottom of the foamed polyethylene, an adhesive (heating system, non-heating system) may be sprayed or applied, or a hot-melt hot-melt film may be bonded to each thin plate and heated. Heat fusion may be used.
[0016]
When the fragile luggage is transported by truck or the like, the packing pad 10 is used by covering the luggage and tying it with a rope.
[0017]
The packing pad 10 of Example 1 (see Table 1) of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 was prototyped according to the above procedure, brought into a transport work site and tested for actual use. As a result, the independence during the work was good, and there was no breakage even if a rope was hung up and tightened. After the rope was released, the trace of the rope was quickly restored and became inconspicuous. When the rope was tightened, the cushioning deformation of the plastic foam was appropriately tightened together with the friction of the nonwoven fabric, and the rope was extremely easy to use. Even when immersed in water, there was little suction and there was almost no obstacle to use. Furthermore, when the packing pad was sandwiched between the piles of cardboard-packed piles and tilted obliquely, it was much less likely to collapse than the cardboard-packed piles that were directly overlapped. Further, even when a person stepped on or hit the forklift lightly, the nonwoven fabric was protected from damage so that it could not be used.
[0018]
In addition to Example 1, packing pads were prototyped with the configurations shown in Examples 2 to 5 in Table 1 below.
[0019]
[Table 1]
Figure 0003097589
[0020]
In the table, PE is polyethylene, PP is polypropylene fiber, PET is polyester fiber, and PU is polyurethane. The adhesive used was a styrene-butadiene rubber-based adhesive.
[0021]
The prototypes of the packing pads of Examples 2 to 5 were brought to the transport work site and used as a result. As a result, the working efficiency, the goodness of packing, the difficulty of collapse, and the robustness against breakage of Example 1 were confirmed. All were excellent, as were the prototypes. In particular, in the prototype of Example 5, since the number of foamed polyethylene was increased to 12 layers, the strength was far superior and the flexibility was excellent even if the overall thickness was the same as in the other prototypes. Moreover, since the plate-like foamed polyethylene is thin and mass-produced and is inexpensive, the cost as a whole can be kept low even if many layers are laminated.
[0022]
[Effect of the invention]
As described in detail above, the packing pad of the present invention has a moderate cushioning property as a guard material and a sufficient friction can be obtained, so that packing work efficiency, good compaction, difficulty in collapse of the load, etc. Excellent in every respect. Moreover, it is durable against breakage and has few rope marks after unfastening, so it can be reused repeatedly. In addition, the material can be easily mass-produced by using a material that is available on the market at a low cost, and the reuse rate is high when the material is reused as waste.
