[Technical field to which the invention belongs]
The present invention is an improvement of a device for feeding a sheet to a printing machine or a paper processing machine for each sheet, particularly an improvement for suppressing a trouble of a sheet feeding operation due to a warp of a sheet at the top of a sheet pile. It is about.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a paper feeding device that feeds a sheet, that is, one sheet at a time, to a printing machine or a paper processing machine, for example, an automatic flat plate punching machine, the paper stacked on a pile table is vacuum-adsorbed for each leaf. In general, the paper is sent while being shifted, but it is necessary to correct the position of the paper sent in this way in order to send the paper to the reference position just before the printing or paper processing process. is there.
[0003]
This correction is usually made by monitoring the end of the uppermost sheet of the paper pile stacked on the pile table with a photoelectric converter, and if a deviation is found, moving the pile table appropriately to make the above paper This is performed by correcting the leaves to a reference position (see Patent Document 1).
[0004]
However, the paper supplied to the punching machine is usually subjected to processing such as printing and surface coating, so that the printing ink and the coating agent often cause warping, and the direction of the warping also depends on the direction. There are various directions, such as a front-back direction. For this reason, each sheet on the pile table is deformed, and the position of the end of the uppermost sheet by the photoelectric converter cannot be accurately detected, and the correction of the shifted position is incomplete. Absent.
[0005]
On the other hand, a plurality of photoelectric converters detect the trailing edge of the paper sheet being conveyed from the pile table to the punching machine via the register board, and the pile table is moved in the left-right direction and adjusted. An apparatus is also known (see Patent Document 2).
[0006]
In this paper feeder, the correction error caused by the deformation of each sheet is corrected to some extent, but is different from the detection of the positional deviation performed at the rear end of the sheet at the front end of the sheet. It is necessary to perform registration, and there is a disadvantage that the position adjustment for the difference in deformation between the front end and the rear end of the sheet is incomplete.
[0007]
In order to improve such a drawback, a paper feeder in which the paper detection means is incorporated in a horizontal register provided along the front edge of the paper reaching the front patch located immediately before the punching section has been proposed. (See Patent Document 3).
[0008]
However, at the time of paper feeding, it is desirable that the front end of each paper sheet is always controlled to a position slightly lower than the height of the front aligning plate, but when a paper sheet that is warped in the front-rear direction is used, Some devices cannot deal with this.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention controls the paper flow by controlling the upper surface of the paper sheet having a warp in the front-rear direction supplied from the paper pile to always be received at a desired height of the front aligning plate, which cannot be handled by the conventional apparatus. An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet feeding device that can stabilize and prevent troubles such as double sheet feeding.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The inventor of the present invention developed a device that overcomes the drawbacks of the conventional device when feeding paper to a printing machine or a paper processing machine, and that facilitates the flow of paper sheets and improves work efficiency. As a result of intensive research, a paper pile monitoring fiber sensor that monitors the top of the paper pile is placed separately from the horizontal registration member, and based on the result, the front end of the conveyed paper sheet is the reference for the front aligned plate. By adjusting the height of the pile table so that it comes to the height, it is possible to smooth the flow of paper when feeding paper to a printing machine or a paper processing machine, and furthermore, a separator based on the above monitoring results It has been found that if the height of the paper is automatically made to follow the height of the bottom of the paper, more preferable paper feeding can be performed, and the present invention has been made based on this finding.
[0012]
That is, the present invention relates to a paper feeding device including a pile base that can be raised and lowered, a separator having a paper edge presser, and a front paper alignment plate. A fiber sensor for detecting the upper surface of the paper pile, and a control mechanism for adjusting the elevation of the pile table based on the detection information so that the conveyed paper reaches the reference height of the front aligning plate. And a paper feeder provided with a mechanism for automatically making the height of the separator follow the height of the paper pile, if desired. .
[0013]
[Embodiment of the invention]
Next, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a side view showing a main part of the paper feeder of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an enlarged side view of a front paper aligning plate portion in FIG. In these figures, a paper pile 1 on a pile stand (not shown) has its front end in contact with a front paper aligning plate 2, its upper rear end is pressed by a paper bottom presser 3, and the uppermost sheet is a printing press. Or, it is in a state of being transported to a paper processing machine (neither is shown).
[0014]
When stacking paper piles in this apparatus, the pile table is lowered to the lower limit, and at the same time, the separator 4 is raised to the upper limit and stopped so as not to be pushed up when the paper pile rises.
[0015]
Next, the pile table on which the pile 1 is loaded is raised until the upper surface of the pile reaches an appropriate position for starting the paper flow, and then the elevation is stopped by physical detection means using a limit switch according to a conventional method.
[0016]
If the ascent is stopped, the fiber sensor 5 disposed at the position behind the paper pile 1 of the front paper aligning plate 2 is operated, and then the pile platform is raised until the fiber sensor 5 detects the upper surface of the paper pile. Let it. When the fiber sensor 5 detects the upper surface of the paper pile, the lifting of the pile stand is stopped, and at the same time, the separator 4 is lowered by the separator up / down drive motor 6 and stopped when the paper bottom presser 3 is switched off.
[0017]
When the operation of the sheet feeding device is started in such a state, the fiber sensor 5 is switched on, the detection of the sheet pile 1 is started, and when the sheet is not detected, the pile table driving motor (not shown) operates. The pile table is raised, and the uppermost sheet is adjusted to reach the reference position. At this time, if the detection by the fiber sensor 5 is not performed and the paper bottom presser 3 is turned off even though the pile base is raised, the height of the separator 4 is inappropriate for the warpage of the paper bottom. It is in the position.
[0018]
Therefore, in such a state, the control mechanism that automatically follows the separator 4 operates, and the separator 4 moves to an ideal position with respect to the height of the sheet, that is, the reference position.
The paper sheet adjusted to the optimum position in this way is conveyed to the printing machine or the paper processing machine by the paper feed rollers 7 and 8.
[0019]
[Effect of the invention]
According to the present invention, since the sheet from the sheet pile is always controlled to be at the position of the most preferable height of the front aligning plate, the flow of the sheet conveyed to the printing machine or the paper processing machine is stabilized. Thus, trouble such as double sheet feeding does not occur. Further, since the operator does not need to constantly monitor the paper feeding state, there is an advantage that a margin is provided in the working time.
