類および桁数は、集合玄関機の内部の基板に取り付けら
れた機械スイッチにより決まっていて、後から自由に暗
証番号の種類を増やしたり、暗証番号の桁数を変えたり
することはできなかった。また、実際に使われている暗
証番号は、全ての住人が使うため、覚え易い、4桁程度
の1種類か、せいぜい2種類程度の数を使用することが
一般的であった。従って、集合玄関機に詳しい人等は、
集合玄関機そのものが集合玄関扉のすぐ外に設置してあ
るので、集合玄関機の蓋を開け、内部を見ることによ
り、機械スイッチの設定を読み取り、暗証番号を簡単に

する(STP5)。受信した前記入力番号を、記憶する
登録済の暗証番号と比較し、一致するか否かを判別する
(STP6)。正しい暗証番号の入力が確認される(Y
ES)と、解錠許可信号を送信する(STP7)。日
付、着信時刻および受信した入力暗証番号を、回線接続
の順に記憶する(STP8)。集合玄関機は、前記解錠
許可信号を受信し、集合玄関扉の電気錠に、解錠信号を
出力すると共に、電気錠が解錠し、所定時間の後施錠す
