However, in this case, since the roll shell is formed by centrifugal casting, defects such as pinholes are liable to occur.
When the thermal spray coating is formed, the pin hole
It is extremely difficult to completely cover the metal part with the thermal spray coating, and if it is used as it is, the molten metal enters from the pinhole and is easily eroded. Therefore, even if the thermal spray coating is formed as described above, a sufficiently satisfactory effect has not yet been obtained.

[0004] Further, since the shaft 14 of the above-mentioned conventional synchro is severely damaged, the bush 15 and the like are applied by spraying and overlaying, but the sufficient effect cannot be obtained. Often they have to be replaced. Further, the molten metal is strongly corroded from the welded portion between the roll shell 11 and the hub 13 and the welded portion for attaching the bush, so that cracks are liable to occur and the service life has to be shortened. Due to the severe erosion of the molten metal, spare rolls are prepared and replaced after several weeks of use.

That is, the inventors of the present invention came up with the idea of using a roll having no pinhole as a roll shell, and as a result of research, as a result, a steel plate such as a stainless steel or a heat-resistant steel was rolled. If the portion to be welded is welded by electroslag welding or electron beam welding, a plate-wound roll without pinholes can be obtained, and good results can be obtained by using this as a roll shell. Among the steel plates that can be easily obtained as plate rolls, stainless steel plates such as SUS316L and SUS410L have good erosion resistance to molten metal. Since metal easily starts to erode from its grain boundaries, it is possible to prevent erosion by molten metal by heating the part to about 1000 to 1150 ° C by high-frequency induction heating, etc., then cooling it and performing a solution treatment. Furthermore, the outer surface of the conventional roll shell has WC12% Co
Of the cermet type thermal spray material is sprayed,
Co is easily eroded by the molten metal, cracks are easily generated, and the other parts of the roll shell are used without treatment, so the molten metal easily adheres and requires a lot of maintenance. Depending on the type of metal, the material to be sprayed is distinguished, the cermet system or the ceramic system is used for different types of thermal spraying. They learned that metal erosion could be prevented, and completed the present invention.

Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an example of the synchro of the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a sheet-roll made by rolling a SUS316L stainless steel plate, welding a portion to be welded by electron beam welding, and then subjecting the welded portion to a solution treatment by high-frequency induction heating. And 2, a hub welded to both inner ends of the roll shell 1, and a bush 4
Are welded, and the welded portion of the hub 2 and the bush 4 is subjected to the same solution treatment as described above. 5 is a thermal spray coating formed by spraying a cermet spray material WC-12% Co on the outer surface of the roll shell 1, and 6 is ZrO 2 on the side surface of the roll shell 1, the hub 2 and its shaft 3. Is a thermal spray coating formed by plasma spraying, and 7 is a slurry having alumina as a main component coated on the thermal spray coatings 5 and 6 and dried.
It is a sealing treatment layer formed by firing at 00 ° C.

As described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described hot metal plating synchro roll, which uses a stainless steel plate roll for the roll shell, so that there is no pinhole. When the thermal spray coating is formed on the roll shell, the outer surface of the roll shell can be surely covered, so that even if the roll shell is immersed in the molten metal and used for a long time, not only does the molten metal not easily adhere, but cracks are generated. There is no. Further, after a solution treatment is performed on a welded portion between the roll shell and the hub and a welded portion between the shaft portion of the hub and the bush, a thermal spray coating is formed together with the side surface of the roll, and a sealing process is further performed thereon. Thereby, erosion by the molten metal can be prevented, and the life thereof can be significantly increased as compared with the conventional synchro. Therefore, it is suitable as a synchro for plating the molten metal.
