2. Description of the Related Art Various types of press-connecting connectors for press-connecting electric wires in a connector body have been proposed. For example, JP-A-58-214283
There is known a press-fit joint connector disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Publication No. H10-163, etc. FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of a conventional press joint connector. The press-connecting joint connector 51 has two press-connecting blades 53 and 54 formed on one metal plate at a pitch P in order to electrically connect the two covered electric wires 5.
1 is provided with terminals 56 which are arranged side by side on the left and right and have an escape groove 55 in the middle. The terminal 56 is held by ears 57, and a cutting plate 58 having an acute-angled blade at the top and a strain-reducing element 60 having a pair of end walls 59 parallel to the cutting plate 58 are provided upright. 61 are provided. Furthermore, a connector body 63 holding the terminal 56 and the strain relief member 61 and having a door 62 opened at the top and capable of being opened and closed by a hinge, and a cover having a locking projection 64 and a wire receiving groove 65 at the bottom. 66. The connector body 63 is provided with a locking rib 67 for engaging with the locking projection 64 and a holding groove 68 for holding the terminal 56.

In the above configuration, first, the connector main body 63
After the strain relief member 61 is fitted into the terminal 56, the terminal 56 is held in the holding groove 68. When the electric wire 5 is held in the electric wire receiving groove 65 and the cover 66 is press-fitted from above, the electric wire 5 is cut by the cutting plate 58 and the covering portion of the electric wire 5 is cut by the press-contact blades 53 and 54 of the terminal 56. . As a result, the two electric wires 5 are electrically connected by the core wires contacting the press contact blades 53 and 54, and are pressed and held in the connector main body 63 by the back surface of the cover 66. Further, after the locking projection 64 is locked by the locking rib 67, the door 62 is pivotally closed and the connector body 63 is closed.
Is locked. Since the terminal 56 has an escape groove 55, the press contact blades 53 and 54 can bend evenly.

[0004] Further, a terminal as shown in FIG. 7 is known as a terminal of a conventional pressure welding joint connector. The terminal 70 is provided with two press contact blades 71 and 72, but there is no clearance groove between the press contact blades 71 and 72. Accordingly, the pitch P2 of the wires 5 and the width of the connector body are reduced, but when the wires 5 are pressed, the pressure contact blade 7
1 and 72 are largely bent outward.

However, in the above-described conventional press-fit joint connector, the terminal 5
When the relief groove 55 is provided between the press contact blades 53 and 54 as in 6, the pitch P1 is increased by the space of the relief groove 55, which is an obstacle to downsizing the connector. Unless a relief groove is provided between the press contact blades 71 and 72 of the terminal 70 in order to reduce the width of the connector, the press contact blades 71 and 72 are bent outward when the electric wire 5 is press-fitted. The deflection is caused by the two press contact blades 71,
There is a problem that the values are not uniform at 72.

In the press-fitting joint connector having the above-described structure according to the present invention, a plurality of covered electric wires are provided on a plurality of press-connecting blades arranged in a zigzag pattern of terminals held by the connector body on a jig or a cover. When the wire is pressed by the wire pressing portion, the sheath of the wire is cut, and the core wire comes into contact with the press-contact blade so that the plurality of wires are electrically connected to each other. At this time, since the plurality of press-contact blades are arranged in a zigzag,
The terminals are bent evenly without interference, and the end portions of the pressure contact blades adjacent to each other are provided side by side on the same line, so that the width dimensions of the terminal and the connector main body can be reduced.

One end of the press contact blades arranged on the same line is held by an intermediate wall provided on the connector body, and the thickness of the intermediate wall is set to be the same as the width of one end of the press contact blade. Have been. Further, the distance between the intermediate wall and the side wall of the connector body or the cover is set to the same size as the outer diameter of the electric wire. Thereby, when a plurality of electric wires are simultaneously pressed by the press contact blade, the covering portion of the electric wire comes into contact with one end of the adjacent press contact blade, so that abnormal bending of the press contact blade is prevented, and high reliability is achieved. A crimp connector can be obtained. Further, since one end of each of the press contact blades provided at both ends of the plurality of press contact blades is embedded in the side wall of the connector main body, the width dimension of the connector main body can be further reduced, thereby promoting the miniaturization of the press contact connector. be able to.

Also, the outer end portions 15,
Since 16 is embedded in the side wall 7 of the connector main body 2, the width dimension W (see FIG. 3) of the connector main body 2 can be reduced, so that the press-fit joint connector 1 can be further downsized. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be implemented in other modes by making appropriate changes. For example, in the present embodiment, two pressure contact blades 11 and 12 are provided in the terminal 9, but two or more pressure contact blades may be provided in a staggered manner. However, in this case, the intermediate wall 8 is increased by the amount of the press contact blade. Further, in the present embodiment, the intermediate wall 8 is provided on the connector main body 2, but may be provided on the cover back surface 18 of the cover 4.

As described above, according to the press-connecting connector of the present invention, a plurality of press-connecting blades are arranged in a zigzag pattern at the terminal, and one end of the press-connecting blades adjacent to each other are juxtaposed on the same line. Therefore, the pressure welding joint connector can be downsized. Further, since the distance between the side wall of the connector body or the cover and the intermediate wall is set to the same dimension as the outer diameter of the electric wire, the bending of the press contact blade is prevented by the intermediate wall, the side wall, and the electric wire. The reliability of the joint connector can be improved.

Further, since one end of the plurality of press contact blades is embedded in the side wall of the connector main body, the width dimension of the connector main body can be further reduced, so that the miniaturization of the press contact joint connector can be further promoted.
