【従来の技術】空気調和機は、図2に示すように、筐体

に形成した三つのブロックの熱交換器5を配置してい
る。図3に示すように、フィン6の後方二か所の所定の
位置に略半分の巾の切抜き部7を形成し、同様に二か所
の同位置でフランジ8を残して切欠き部9を形成した左
右の側板10にフィン6を挟んでパイプ11を挿入、拡
管して熱交換器5を一体に形成する。図4(B)に示す
ように、切抜き部7の位置でフィン6の前半分を二か所
でカット6aして下部を直立部5a、中央部を後方に折
り曲げて後方傾斜部5bとし、その上部を背面側に逆V
字形に折り曲げて前方傾斜部5cとした三つの熱交換器
5を一体に形成している。図5(A)に示すように、後
方傾斜部5bと前方傾斜部5cとの折曲げ部12に沿っ
て、その上部と筐体との間にエアーフィルタ13を挿入
している。筐体1内の上部で熱交換器5の後方傾斜部5
bと前方傾斜部5cを鋭角に折り曲げられた時、垂直に
カット6aした後方傾斜部5b側のフィン6の上端が突
き出した状態になる。エアーフィルタ13を挿入に対し
てフィン6の角部14がエアーフィルタ13に引っ掛っ
て損傷する危険があり、これを避けるために筐体1上部
を前方に広げるか、フィン6の角部14を折り曲げて省
スペース化してフィン6の起き上がりを押さえる別部品
を取り付ける等の対策が必要であった。筐体1の前方へ
の拡張には室内機を下から見た時奥行き寸法が厚く見え
る意匠上の欠点や、フィン6の角部14の折り曲げには
エアーフィルタガイド(図示せず)のような別部品が必
要となりコストアップになる問題点を有していた。2.
