図2の十字型中仕切りはダンボール箱の強度の役割は大きいが、大型自動選果機 を使用する共同選果では実用的でない。何故ならば、まず十字に組み合わせてダ ンボール箱にはめ込む為に作業効率が悪くなる。さらには大型自動選果機から流 れおちるミニトマトが中央でさえぎられ、片側だけに集中してしまう。ここでも 作業効率は悪くなるのである。それでは図3のV字型中仕切りはどうかと考える と、組み立てはめ込み作業はすんなりとゆく。V字型はダンボール板を二つに折 り曲げて作り置きしてあるから広げてはめ込むだけである。ここで何故、図3の V字型中仕切りが使われているか説明が必要であろう。大型自動選果機の流出口 とダンボール箱の間にはかなり落差がある。完熟したミニトマトが流出口より落 下する場合にはダンボール箱の中仕切りが鋭利な刃物と化して、ぶつかればミニ トマトは裂果する事故が多いのである。この事故を避ける為に図3のV字型中仕 切りが存在するのである。しかしながら、ダンボール箱の強度の役割はほとんど 果たしていないのが、図3のV字型中仕切りの最大の欠点である。そこで図2と 図3の長所を持つ中仕切りが必要となって来たのである。 The cross-shaped partition shown in Fig. 2 plays a major role in the strength of the cardboard box, but it is not practical for joint fruit selection using a large automatic fruit sorter.
