(Prior Art) Conventionally, mercerized yarn of cotton yarn has been manufactured by mercerizing into a double yarn. This is because when merchantizing cotton yarn, it was necessary to pass through the caustic soda while applying tension to the cotton yarn to obtain sufficient gloss, and it was necessary to reduce the number of fluff to a low value. is there.

In order to obtain a yarn strength that can withstand the tension required during mercerizing and to obtain a luster, it is customary to apply a mercerizing process to twin yarns. This is because a single yarn has a low yarn strength that can withstand merchant processing, and is difficult to operate. Therefore, in reality, the mercury had to be processed with the twin yarn.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, the twinket mercerized yarn has poor luster in terms of the yarn structure, and has many fluffs, and is insufficient as a yarn for high-grade applications such as sportswear.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention employs the following means to solve the problems. That is, the present invention relates to a silospan yarn comprising a cotton fiber having an effective fiber length of 28 mm or more and a fineness of 4.5 micronea or less, wherein the twist coefficient (inch method) of the silospan yarn is 3.2 to 4.5, and the silospan yarn is mercerized. The mercerized yarn according to claim 1, wherein the number of staples constituting the mercerized yarn and the silospan yarn is in the range of 50 to 270, and the fluff index of 1 mm or more is 200 or less. The gist of the present invention is a mercerized yarn according to claim 2.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. In the present invention,
The fibers that make up the silospan yarn must be cotton fibers. This is because the characteristics of the mercerized yarn are exhibited more. As the cotton fiber, those having an effective fiber length of 28 mm or more, preferably 30 to 51 mm, and a fineness of 4.5 micronare or less are preferable. If the diameter exceeds 4.5 micronaire, the yarn strength is not able to withstand mercerizing, and the yarn quality is deteriorated and the quality is poor. Further, if the effective fiber length is less than 28 mm, the yarn strength and the yarn quality are undesirably reduced.
Furthermore, the value of the minor axis / major axis of the fiber cross section of the cotton fiber constituting the mercerized yarn of the present invention is preferably 0.7 or more, more preferably 0.8 or more. This is to give a more elegant luster.
In addition, the number of staple fibers constituting the mercerized yarn is preferably in the range of 50 to 270 in order to increase the yarn strength. If less than 50, 2 before the twisting point
The number of constituent fiber bundles is less than 25, and unevenness is generated and strength is reduced, which is not preferable. On the other hand, if the number exceeds 270, the number of neps increases, which is not preferable.

Further, the mercerized yarn is preferably a thick number having a thickness of 60'S or less. Further, the twist coefficient (inch system) of the mercerized yarn is preferably 3.2 to 4.5. This is to obtain the gloss and feel of the mercerized yarn. If it exceeds 4.5, the gloss decreases, and if it is lower than 3.2, a problem occurs in terms of yarn strength. In addition, if the fluff index, especially 1 mm or more, exceeds 200, sufficient luster cannot be obtained, and fluff will fall off during knitting, and the fallen fluff will enter the needle groove and sinker groove, and knitting will occur. This is not preferable because it becomes difficult and the quality of the dough deteriorates.

Next, a method for producing the mercerized yarn of the present invention will be briefly described. First, slivers and rovings are produced by mixing cotton, raw cotton, carding and drawing of raw cotton fiber, and then two rovings are spun out at regular intervals by a normal spinning machine. A predetermined number of twists are added together to form a spun yarn.
