の閉塞現象発生により翌朝排出する灰中には多量の未燃
物が含まれている。従つてこの際火炉内に未燃ガスが滞
留していると炉内爆発の危険がある。次に装置の構造に
ついて述べると、廃棄物焼却装置1は通常横断面円形の
火炉が採用され、火炉内壁は空気供給管2を含むウオー
タージヤケツト3で形成され、燃焼用空気は前記ウオー
タージヤケツト3の内壁面を貫通する空気供給管の複数
のノズル4から供給され、被焼却物は供給口5から火炉
内に投入される。なお火炉底部には水管等で形成される
ロストル6が設けられ、灰はその下部の灰溜7よりスコ
ツプ等で取り出される。ロストル上の燃焼残渣は取り出

ール材の溶融物や、同材質の袋は半溶融し被焼却物たる
未燃の紙類を火炉壁に粘着保持し、丁度火炉内を蓋した
形となり、投入された廃棄物を蒸し焼きすることとなり
未燃の気体が下部の燃焼中の被焼却物と前記の蓋となつ
た材料との間に溜まりかつ不完全燃焼の状態が続き、そ
のときたまたま灰出しするなどして新しい外気が流入し
たとき前記可燃性ガスに引火して異常燃焼するものと推

なる隙間17を生ずることから充分機能し未燃ガスは抜け
出しするものである。水管を2本以上並設すれば2本の
水管の間からも未燃ガスの抜け出して異常燃焼防止が容
