2. Description of the Related Art A four-cycle engine used for a vehicle is:
An oil pan is connected to the lower end of the engine case, lubricating oil is stored, and the oil pump is used to lubricate each part of the engine. In the case of a vehicle, the lubricating oil in the oil pan may be moved to the rear side or the front side by inertia due to acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle, and the inlet of the oil pump may be exposed. In order to prevent this, an upright wall is provided in the oil pan to prevent the movement of the lubricating oil. The dry sump type four-stroke engine has an oil tank provided separately from the engine case, and depending on the shape of the oil tank,
The movement of the lubricating oil due to acceleration and deceleration can be reduced.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In the case of a motorcycle,
Even with a dry sump type engine, the oil tank installation space is limited, and the oil tank may be long before and after, and the movement of the lubricating oil in the oil tank may increase due to acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle.

In view of the foregoing, the present invention combines an oil tank to be separately cast on the left and right sides and joins the same. When a weir is integrally formed with the oil tank at the time of casting, the movement of lubricating oil can be reduced and the cost can be reduced. It is an object of the present invention to obtain a motorcycle engine oil tank that can be used.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In order to achieve the above object, an oil tank for a motorcycle engine according to the present invention is formed by dividing an oil tank having a long front part and a front part rising upward into right and left parts, such as a light alloy. In the middle part of the part raised above the front part, a weir having a vertical passage is formed integrally with the oil tank, and the oil tank is It is arranged below.

When the vehicle decelerates, the lubricating oil in the oil tank tends to flow into the raised space at the front of the oil tank by inertia. At this time, the weir prevents the flow of the lubricating oil, and the lubricating oil collides with the weir, thereby absorbing energy and reducing the movement of the lubricating oil to the front side. Since the weir can be formed by integrally casting the oil tank with the upper and lower passages provided, the cost can be reduced without increasing the cost. Further, the oil tank which is long in the front and rear direction can be compactly arranged below the engine case.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. The oil tank 1 is divided into left and right parts, which are formed by casting with a light alloy or the like, and are joined together with screws according to the middle state. It is. A weir 3 having upper and lower passages 2 is integrally formed at the height of an intermediate portion at the front of the oil tank 1 at the time of casting. The weir 3 has an upper part inclined rearward. The oil tank 1 is provided with an oil supply port 4 and a drain port 5 on one side. The oil tank 1 has its front upper side fastened to the front lower end of the engine case 7 below the engine 6 and its rear end fastened to the lower end of the frame center 9 of the frame 8.
It is arranged below the engine case 7. Engine case 7
An oil cooler 10 is attached to the front side of the oil tank 1 above the front end of the oil tank 1. The oil tank 1 is provided with a hose pipe to the engine 6 and the oil cooler 10 so that lubricating oil circulates.

When the motorcycle decelerates due to braking, the load applied to the front wheels increases, and the cushion of the front wheels works to move forward. Along with this, the oil tank 1 also descends forward, and the lubricating oil in the oil tank 1 moves toward the upper front space due to inertia due to deceleration. At this time, the weir 3 in the oil tank 1 becomes closer to the vertical due to the downward descent of the oil tank 1, receives the flow of the lubricating oil, absorbs energy, and prevents the lubricating oil from moving forward.
Incidentally, the flow of the lubricating oil in the normal oil tank 1 is generated in the passage 2.

As described above, since the present invention is constructed as described above, the movement of the lubricating oil during deceleration can be suppressed to a small extent by the weir provided in the oil tank, and the oil tank can be moved back and forth. It can be made long without any problem. Then, the oil tank can be compactly arranged below the engine case. In addition, weirs with upper and lower passages can be formed integrally with the oil tank,
It can be produced at low cost.
