2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view of a conventional ethylene removing device. Ethylene removal equipment removes ethylene, which has the effect of promoting aging and aging, discharged from fruits and vegetables in the storage with ozone, and inactivates or kills bacteria and microorganisms floating in the storage to maintain the freshness of fruits and vegetables It is for doing. In the figure, air in a storage 4 is introduced into a unit main body 1 through an inlet 5 by a fan 3. By irradiating the ultraviolet lamp 6 (wavelength 184.9 nm), ozone is generated from oxygen in the inflowing air. The ozone kills bacteria floating in the air and oxidizes ethylene to convert it to an ethylene compound. Excess ozone is supplied to the ultraviolet lamp 6 (wavelength 253.7).
nm) to produce oxygen and nascent oxygen. Here, the nascent oxygen oxidizes ethylene remaining in the air to convert it into an ethylene compound. Next, the air flows into an ozone treatment device 7 made of a metal catalyst such as activated carbon, manganese, iron or the like or a metal oxide catalyst thereof, where the ozone still remaining in the air is decomposed into oxygen and the like. The air from which ozone has been removed is returned to the storage 4 via the outlet 2.

In the conventional ethylene removing apparatus, surplus ozone in the air in the unit body 1 is decomposed into oxygen by irradiating an ultraviolet lamp 6 and the remaining ozone is converted into activated carbon or catalyst. By decomposing the ozone-treated air through an ozone treatment device 7 made of such material, the air from which ozone has been removed is returned to the storage 4 where people enter and exit, thereby preventing damage to the human body due to the toxicity of ozone. However, activated carbon and a catalyst for decomposing ozone are expensive, and there is a drawback that the cost of the apparatus increases.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention has solved the above-mentioned problems, and has ventilation means for flowing an environmental gas through a unit body, and ultraviolet irradiation means for generating and decomposing ozone. The amount of air flowed by the ventilation means per unit output of the ultraviolet irradiation means is 5 m 3 / h · W
The present invention relates to an ethylene removing device set as described above.

Since the present invention has the above-described structure, the following effects are obtained. That is, the amount of ozone generated per unit output by the ultraviolet irradiation means has a maximum value when the air flow is 3 to 4 m 3 / h · W, and is oxidized and removed per unit output by the ultraviolet irradiation means. The amount of ethylene produced increases with increasing airflow. For this reason, the air volume is 5 m 3 /
When it is set to hW or more, the ozone generation amount is small,
In addition, since the amount of ethylene removed can be increased, it is possible to suppress ozone in the gas flowing out of the unit body to a low concentration while efficiently removing ethylene.

FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of one embodiment of the ethylene removing apparatus of the present invention. The configuration of the present ethylene removing apparatus is such that the amount of air flowing through the unit main body 1 by the fan 3 is set to 5 m 3 / h · W or more per unit output W (watt) of the ultraviolet lamp 6. Other configurations are the same as the conventional configuration shown in FIG. 3 except that the ethylene processor is not provided. Corresponding members have the same reference characters allotted, and description thereof will not be repeated. FIG. 2 shows the amount of air flowing through the unit body 1 per unit output W (watt) of the ultraviolet lamp 6 as Q (m 3 / h · W), and the amount of ozone generated per unit output W (watt) of the ultraviolet lamp 6. To O (ml /
h · W), and the amount of ethylene removed per unit output W (watt) of the ultraviolet lamp 6 is E (ml / h · W).
It is the result of measuring each relationship between the air volume Q, the ozone generation amount O, and the ethylene removal amount E. The ozone generation amount O is, as shown by the solid line in FIG.
It has a maximum value at m 3 / h · W, and the ethylene removal amount E increases as the air volume Q increases, as shown by the broken line in FIG.

[0008] Thus, as in this embodiment, the air flow Q is 5 m.
When it is set to 3 / hW or more, the ozone generation amount O can be reduced and the ethylene removal amount E can be increased. Accordingly, ozone in the air flowing out of the unit main body 1 can be suppressed to a low concentration while efficiently removing ethylene. Damage can be prevented.

According to the ethylene removing apparatus of the present invention,
Ventilation means for passing an environmental gas through the unit body, and ultraviolet irradiation means for generating and decomposing ozone are provided, and the amount of air passed by the ventilation means per unit output of the ultraviolet irradiation means is 5 m 3 / h · Since it is set to W or more, it is possible to suppress ozone in the air flowing out of the unit body to a low concentration while efficiently removing ethylene, so that a catalyst for decomposing residual ozone as in the related art, Activated carbon or the like becomes unnecessary, and costs can be reduced.
