However, none of these known means is effective in the bonding force between the insulating sleeve bands, particularly in the tensile strength along the longitudinal direction, and all are flat connecting plate portions. However, since the connecting plate portion needs to have a certain length, the pitch of the insulating sleeve cannot be reduced to a certain value or more. In addition, the lamination of the connecting plate portions deteriorates the flexibility of the long insulating sleeve band, making it impossible to cleanly wind up in a loop shape, or disconnecting the connecting plate portions when trying to bend forcibly. There was a problem.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention takes the following technical measures. That is, in the long insulating sleeve strip for an electrical connector according to the present invention, a plurality of insulating sleeves 1 for holding the electrical connector elements, and these insulating sleeves 1 are arranged in a parallel posture and at an appropriate distance from each other. The connecting plate portion 2 to be connected with the connecting member is integrally molded with a synthetic resin material to form an insulating sleeve band 3 having a unit length. The formed insulating sleeve 1a and the insulating sleeve 1b at the other end in the longitudinal direction of another insulating sleeve band 3 formed by the same means as described above are put together in a molding die when the latter insulating sleeve band 3 is molded. The two insulating sleeve strips 3, 3 are integrally connected in the longitudinal direction by welding and bonding in a state of being heavily stacked.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in the figure, a plurality of cylindrical insulating sleeves 1 for inserting and holding a crimp terminal A as an electric connector element, and these insulating sleeves 1 are connected in a parallel posture and at an appropriate interval from each other. The connecting plate portions 2 are integrally molded with a synthetic resin material to form an insulating sleeve band 3 having a unit length. These insulating sleeve bands 3 having a unit length are formed by the following molding means. To form an elongated insulating sleeve band integrally connected along the longitudinal direction.

That is, first, an insulating sleeve band 3 having a unit length is molded by a mold 4 having upper and lower split molds 4a and 4b and a core mold 4c. The insulating sleeve strip 3 of unit length is connected to a plurality of cylindrical insulating sleeves 1 for inserting and holding the crimping terminals A, and connecting the insulating sleeves 1 in a parallel posture and at an appropriate interval from each other. One end of the insulating sleeve band 3, that is, the left end in the figure, ends with the cylindrical insulating sleeve 1a. The outer diameter of this insulating sleeve 1a is formed to be smaller than the outer diameter of the other insulating sleeve 1 by half the thickness.

After the insulating sleeve band 3 having a unit length is molded by the mold 4 in this manner, the upper and lower split dies 4a, 4b
In addition, the core mold 4c is separated to take out the insulating sleeve band 3 as shown in FIG. 3, and the small-diameter insulating sleeve 1a at the left end is fitted into the core mold 4c at the right end of the mold 4 as shown in FIG. Then, the upper and lower molds are closed, and the molten resin is poured to form the insulating sleeve band 3 having the next unit length. The insulating sleeve 1b at the right end of the unit length insulating sleeve band 3 formed in this way is formed around the insulating sleeve 1a portion of the unit length insulating sleeve band 3 formed earlier and integrally welded and joined. Is done. By repeating this molding means, a long insulating sleeve band in which a plurality of insulating sleeve bands 3 are connected is manufactured. In the long insulating sleeve band for an electrical connector manufactured in this manner, since the adjacent insulating sleeve bands 3 are welded and connected in a double-layered structure with the insulating sleeves 1a and 1b, the bonding strength is extremely strong. In addition, since the connecting plates are not stacked and connected as in the related art, the pitch of the insulating sleeves 1 can be reduced without deteriorating the flexibility of the connecting plates.

Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not necessarily limited to the structures of these embodiments. For example, the shape of the connecting plate portion 2 can be formed in a plane X shape as shown in FIG. 6, whereby more flexible flexibility can be obtained. In addition, the present invention can be appropriately modified and implemented as long as it has the constituent elements, achieves the above-described object, and has the following effects.

As described above, in the long insulating sleeve band for an electrical connector according to the present invention, the adjacent insulating sleeve bands are welded and connected in a double-layered structure with the insulating sleeve on one end side. Therefore, the bonding force is extremely strong,
Moreover, since the connecting plate portion is not laminated and connected as in the prior art, the connecting plate portion can be easily and compactly wound without deteriorating the flexibility of the connecting plate portion. Can be reduced, and thereby, the filling operation of the electric connector element by the automatic machine can be speeded up.
