2. Description of the Related Art A noise removing coil is inserted in a harness connected to an in-vehicle television, a radio, or the like.
Therefore, it is necessary to manufacture a harness with a coil in which one end of the harness is connected to one end of the coil. In the conventional connection method between the harness and the coil, in order to easily perform the connection process, generally, one end of the harness and the coil to be connected are inserted from both sides of a cylindrical sleeve having both ends opened, and the sleeve is connected in that state. The harness and the coil are integrated and fixed by clamping the ends of the harness and the coil on opposite inner peripheral surfaces of the crushed sleeve.

[0003] However, although the harness is a stranded wire, the coil is a single wire. Therefore, the crimping of the cylindrical sleeve alone results in a weak adhesive force, and the wire is disengaged when pulled in the axial direction. Therefore, after fixing (temporary fixing) using a sleeve as described above, the sleeve is also fixed together with solder.

Further, in order to protect the coil, after being fixed by soldering as described above, the coil portion, the connection portion and the end of the harness are housed in a hollow protective case.

However, the above-mentioned prior art has the following various problems. First, when the coil and the harness are connected, they must be temporarily fixed using a sleeve and then soldered, which complicates the operation. In addition, the coil and the harness are inserted into the cylindrical sleeve from both sides, but the inside of the sleeve cannot be seen, and the insertion and connection of both wires (superposition)
It is not possible to confirm whether or not the operation is performed reliably.

Further, if the inner diameter of the sleeve is large, play occurs when the two wires are inserted into the sleeve, it is difficult to maintain a predetermined positional relationship, and the clamping pressure when the sleeve is crimped is reduced. On the other hand, when the inner diameter of the sleeve is reduced, it becomes difficult to insert both wires, and it takes time.

On the other hand, since the solder flows around and inside the sleeve, the connection portion becomes large (in some cases, larger than the coil diameter), so that the shape of the protective case also becomes large.

Further, since the wiring of the harness needs to be carried out in the vehicle without slack, the length of the harness needs to be a predetermined dimension. More specifically, a connector for connecting to another harness or an electrical component is generally attached to the other end of the harness (an end opposite to the coil connection portion). It is necessary that the distance to the end of the object has a predetermined dimension. But,
In the case of the conventional protective case, it consists only of a cylindrical outer peripheral side wall and both end walls (there is a hole for inserting a wire in the center), and the shape and dimensions of the solder part vary each time (for each product). Therefore, the length and diameter of the protective case are also increased with a certain margin. For this reason, the coil and the like and the protective case are relatively easily moved, and there is a possibility that the above-described determined dimensions cannot be obtained.

[Function] Place the connection bracket at a fixed distance from the end (connector) of the harness that is not connected to the coil,
On the bottom of the connection fitting, the end of the coil which is a single wire and the end of the harness which is a stranded wire are laminated in this order. Then, when the connection fitting is crushed, both ends of the connection fitting are brought into contact with each other and closed, and the harness and the coil are connected only by crimping caused by the crushing of the connection fitting. Therefore, the connection portion is downsized. Then, the end of the connection fitting is positioned by applying a locking surface provided inside the protection case. Thereby, the distance between the protective case and the connector can be accurately maintained.

Next, an embodiment of a method of connecting the end 3a (single wire) of the coil 3 and the harness (the stranded wire 2b) 2 will be described.
Description will be given based on FIG. 8 and subsequent figures. First, the connection fitting 4 used in this example has a substantially V-shape (a U-shape may be used) in which a flat plate is bent from a center thereof by a predetermined angle and both end portions 4a are raised, thereby opening both end portions 4a. Use something. Then, the end (coil lead) 3b of the coil 3, which is a single wire, is first placed on the bottom 4b of the V-shaped connection fitting 4, and the exposed end (harness lead) of the stranded wire 2a of the harness 2 is placed thereon. (See FIGS. 8 and 11A).

Next, both ends 4a of the connection fitting 4 are urged inwardly to be bent (folded) so that both ends 4a are brought into contact with each other (FIGS. 9 and 11B). Thereby, the connection fitting 4 is closed annularly as shown in the figure. In addition, in this example, both ends 4a of the connection fitting 4 are bent in a substantially arc shape, but at the time of this bending, the stranded wires 2a whose both ends 4a are exposed are urged so as to be crushed. As a result, the stranded wire 2a is broken as shown in FIG.
, And is also located around the end 3 a of the coil 3. However, there is a slight gap between the periphery of the stranded wire 2 a and the end 3 a of the coil 3 and the inner peripheral surface of the connection fitting 4.

In this state, the bottom 4b of the connection fitting 4 is urged upward (toward the tip 4a), and the sharp bottom 4b is flattened (see FIGS. 10 and 11C). Then, as shown in the figure, the connection fitting 4 is deformed into a substantially semicircular cross section, and has a substantially half cross sectional area as compared to the cross sectional area before crushing the bottom 4b shown in FIG. Therefore, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 3 (C), the stranded wire 2a is
And there is no gap in the space between the periphery of the end 3a and the inner peripheral surface of the connection fitting 4 so as to be in close contact with each other. In other words, the end 3 of the coil 3
a and the stranded wire 2a of the harness 2 are crimped by receiving a clamping force from the inner peripheral surfaces of both ends 4a and the bottom 4b of the connection fitting 4. Since the stranded wires 2a are arranged without gaps in this way, the urging force from the crushed connection fitting 4 is efficiently applied to the stranded wires 2a and the ends 3a of the coils 3 without escaping. And the end 3a are firmly connected, and the harness 2 and the coil 3 are securely connected and integrated. Since the bonding force between the two is strong, it is not necessary to use solder or the like, and the connection portion is not only extremely small, but also has the connection fitting 4 as shown in the figure. Since the external dimensions are determined (in the case of solder, the external dimensions vary depending on the degree of attachment), dimensional accuracy can be obtained with high accuracy. Moreover, in a state where the end 3a of the coil 3 and the stranded wire 2a of the harness 2 are inserted and arranged in the connection fitting 4 whose both ends 4a are open, the connection fitting 4
It is only necessary to crush (caulk) each part of the harness 2 in a predetermined direction, so that the connection fitting 4 can be arranged at a position where the distance from the other end (for example, the connector 6) of the harness 2 is accurate. Dimensioning accuracy is further improved.

Further, when the bottom 4b is crushed, a tool for crushing is applied to the central portion of the bottom 4b, so that FIG. 10 (B), FIG. 11 (C) and FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, a convex portion 4c is formed in which the center of the flat portion 4b is further projected upward (toward the end 3a of the coil 3). Then, along with the formation of the projection 4c, the opposing portion of the end 3a of the coil 3 is further crushed inward to form the recess 3b. Then, since the side surface 3c around the concave portion 3b and the side surface 4d of the convex portion 4c of the connection fitting 4 come into contact with each other, even if a tensile stress is generated in the axial direction, the side surfaces 3c and 4d are locked together. Also, detachment of the end 3a of the coil 3 from the connection fitting 4 is suppressed.

As described above, in the harness with coil according to the present invention and the protective case used for the same, the harness and the coil are connected only by crimping by crushing the connection fitting, so that the connection portion is downsized. With
There is no dimensional variation among products. Therefore, the size of the protective case covering them is also reduced. In addition, if the harness and the coil are connected by using a connection fitting at a certain distance from the end (connector) on the side of the harness that is not connected to the coil, then, as in the conventional case, soldering is used. Since the outer peripheral position of the connection portion does not change and the position can be determined by the end of the connection fitting, predetermined dimensions such as the distance of the harness can be accurately determined.

Further, since a locking surface is provided inside the protective case, by attaching a connection fitting to the locking surface,
The distance between the protective case and the connector can be set accurately, and the protective case does not shift. Further, by disposing the coil between the pair of partition walls of the protective case, the coil does not shift.

Further, in the method for connecting a single wire and a stranded wire according to the present invention, the connection between the harness and the coil can be easily and reliably performed, and since both ends are open, the connection state can be confirmed. Then, a strong connection strength can be obtained by the crimping force generated by crushing the connection fitting.
Therefore, it is suitable for connecting the end (single wire) of the coil and the end (stranded wire) of the harness.
