2. Description of the Related Art In general, foamed urethane foam used as a cushioning material for motorcycle seats is foamed substantially similarly not only at a seating portion, which is a main body of the cushioning material, but also at a terminal portion of the cushioning material. . That is, the sheet end portion of the foaming mold 70 composed of the upper and lower molds as shown in FIG. 7 is formed by forming a cavity having the shape of the sheet end portion in the lower mold 71 and clamping with the upper mold 72. Therefore, both the main body and the terminal portion of the cushion material K are formed softly. For this reason, when the skin material is covered on the bottom plate and assembled, the shape of the sheet end portion is sagged or distorted. In order to solve such inconvenience, conventionally, as shown in FIG. 7, a hardened portion is formed at the terminal portion of the cushion material K by interposing an impregnating material 73 or by inserting another insert. Further, a hardening portion is provided by applying an antifoaming agent such as silicon il to a foaming mold to suppress foaming.

In the above prior art, in order to form a hardened portion of the terminal portion, an impregnating material is interposed, a separate insert is inserted, or an antifoaming agent such as silicon yl is applied to a foaming mold. In addition, there is a problem in mass production efficiency with an increase in the number of used members and the number of manufacturing steps, such as disposing an interference material for preventing generation of abnormal noise with the vehicle body.

In general, the hardness of a soft urethane per unit density is determined by its prescription, so that the higher the density in the same prescription, the harder it becomes. As the overpack and density (weight) increase, the hardness further increases. The same can be said for an extremely high density portion such as a skin layer. The hardness of the skin layer is the same as that of the non-foamed state (about 1 g).
/ Cm3) shows the highest value. When foaming occurs in the upper and lower molds with a partition surface having a slight gap formed therebetween and a mold having a liquid reservoir portion of a predetermined shape continuous with the partition surface, burrs are generated at the positions of the partition surfaces. When this burr occurs, the uncured foam in the vicinity, due to the flow rate of the burr,
The crushing causes the density to rise, and the reaction does not generate heat, so that the temperature does not rise. When the temperature is low, the foaming reaction is less likely to occur chemically, and a hardened layer is formed more and more.

That is, the foaming mold 10 is composed of a lower mold 12 and an upper mold 11, and the lower mold 12 is formed with a cavity formed by a sheet-shaped concave portion 13.
Is formed with a terminal portion forming portion (terminal portion) 14 of the cushion material K. A projection 15 as a partition surface is provided around the lower die 12 near the upper die 11 so as to be continuous with the terminal portion forming portion 14 of the lower die 12.
A slight gap 16 is formed between the protrusion 15 of the lower mold 12 and the upper mold 11, and a liquid reservoir 17 having a predetermined shape is formed in communication with the gap 16. This gap is about 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm. The liquid reservoir 17 has a slightly smaller space in the left-right direction of the sheet that is substantially aligned with the projection 15 serving as the partition surface. In the front-rear direction of the sheet, the front-rear portion of the sheet has a round shape. Therefore, they are formed at predetermined intervals as shown in FIG. The sealing surface 18 of the mold clamping
The gap between the upper and lower dies can be set in a range of 0 to 0.1 mm, and burrs generated in this range can be used for bending and joining described later.

In general, as the moving speed of the foaming liquid or the moving amount of the foaming liquid increases, the foam disappears on the surface of the urethane foam, and a hardened layer having a high density is formed. Therefore, by arbitrarily setting the size (capacity) of the liquid pool and the thickness of the partition surface (projection) formed at the end of the cushion, the moving amount and speed of the foaming liquid are controlled, and The thickness can be adjusted freely.

As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the terminal portion of the cushion material K formed by the foaming mold 10 has a hardened connecting portion 21 formed at the protrusion (partition surface) 15. A hardened portion 22 slightly smaller than the portion (partition surface) 15 is formed in the space of the liquid pool portion 17. Then, the hardened portion 22 formed by the liquid pool portion 17 is bent and adhered to the cushion material K side terminal portion 14 side having high cushioning property at the connecting portion 21 formed by the projection portion (partition surface) 15. Form a terminal. At this time, the sealing surface 1
Preferably, burrs generated by 8 are used for joining.

FIG. 6 shows another example of assembly of the present invention. In this example, the end of the bottom plate is formed by a hardened portion formed by a liquid reservoir of a cushion material and a partition surface. It is covered with the connecting portion and joined to the skin material. According to the present embodiment, the hardened portion formed by the liquid pool can function as an interference material with a pipe or the like on the vehicle body side.

As described above, since the hardened portion is formed in the cushion end portion, it is possible to prevent sagging and distortion during assembly. In addition, since the cured part is formed simultaneously with foaming and without the need of an insert, etc., there is no need to use a special foaming liquid, and it is inexpensive, and the liquid reservoir is used as an interference material after mounting. As a result, the buffer cushion, urethane slab, and the like can be eliminated.
