(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】半凝固金属スラリーを形成する金属スラリ
ー製造装置と、該金属スラリー製造装置から一対のロー
ル間に形成された湯溜りへ供給された半凝固金属スラリ
ーを冷却させ鋳片として引抜く双ロール式連鋳機と、該
双ロール式連鋳機で鋳造された鋳片を圧延する圧延装置
と、該圧延装置で圧延された板を巻取る巻取機とを、ラ
イン上流側から下流側へ向けて順次連続的に配置し、前
記金属スラリー製造装置は、内部に溶融金属を収納し得
るようにした第1の容器と、該第1の容器内に供給され
た溶融金属を撹拌しデンドライト形態を破壊して半凝固
金属スラリーとする回転自在で且つ昇降自在なスタラー
と、上端面が前記第1の容器の内部空間に対向すると共
に下端出口の水平断面形状が前記双ロール式連鋳機のロ
ール軸線方向へ長い矩形状に形成され、しかも前記スタ
ラーが上昇した際には前記上端面と前記スタラー下端と
の間に半凝固金属スラリーが流出するための隙間が形成
されるよう、前記第1の容器の下部に配設された第2の
容器と、該第2の容器内に突出するよう前記スタラーの
下端に固定され且つ前記第1の容器内から前記隙間を通
って排出される半凝固金属スラリーを案内する螺旋状の
案内溝が外周に形成された案内部材と、前記第1の容器
内のガラスを吸引、排気するための手段を設けたことを
特徴とする連続薄板製造設備。
1.
