(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 帯状に搬送される使い捨て着用物品シー
トを順次所定寸法に切断する切断手段と、切断された前
記着用物品の搬送方向前端領域及び後端領域を吸着して
折り畳む吸着折畳み手段とを有し、該吸着折畳み手段
が、 切断された前記着用物品の前端縁及び後端縁とそれぞれ
対応して設けられ前記着用物品の各領域を吸着し得る一
対の吸着面を有し、その吸着面が直線または円弧に沿っ
て互いに離間する開位置から、前記直線と直交して平行
または前記円弧の直径方向に沿って平行となる閉位置ま
で往復移動する吸着部と、 その吸着部を開閉動作させる駆動部と、 前記吸着部に対して吸着または吸着解除を行う吸着制御
部と、を備えてなることを特徴とする折畳み装置。
