The above-described conventional television camera, which uses only one solid-state imaging device, has a disadvantage that the image is inverted when the camera is mounted on a ceiling or the like and rotated in the vertical direction of the camera. Also, in a television camera using two or more solid-state imaging devices, two or more solid-state imaging devices are mounted in the same direction.
As in the case of a single solid-state imaging device, there is a disadvantage that the image is reversed when the camera is mounted on the ceiling and rotated in the vertical direction of the camera.

A television camera according to the present invention includes a prism that divides incident light from an incident surface into substantially equal amounts in two directions and emits the light from two emission surfaces, and one of the prisms that is disposed to face each of the emission surfaces. The solid-state imaging device includes two solid-state imaging devices that are vertically inverted with respect to the other image, and a switch that switches the output of the solid-state imaging device so that the image is always in one direction.

〔実施例〕〔Example〕

次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。 Next, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 2, the imaging optical unit 1 includes prisms 2 and 2
The solid-state imaging devices 3 and 4 have the same characteristics, and any type such as CCD and MOS can be used. The prism 2 divides the light input into two, and is set so that the transmittances of the divided optical paths are equal and the wavelength components of the respective transmitted lights are equal. The solid-state imaging device 3 outputs the input image A is an image signal of the image A 1 taken in the same vertical direction, the solid-state imaging device 4 of the image A 2 input image A is captured in the opposite vertical direction image signal Is attached to the prism 2 so as to output.

When the television camera is rotated in the vertical direction of the screen from this state, the subject becomes an upright image in some cases, and the subject becomes an inverted image in some cases. When rotating the screen in the vertical direction to avoid this, the switch 5 is switched so that the video signal from the television camera is always erect by a control signal corresponding to the rotation.

As described above, the present invention equally divides the transmittance of the prism into two, attaches two identical solid-state image sensors to both of them so that the output images are vertically inverted, and outputs the output from the solid-state image sensor. By inputting to a switch and switching and extracting either output signal, the image is projected without turning upside down, even if the camera is rotated up and down or left or right when looking down under a ceiling, etc. The effect can be.
