The paper is discharged to the paper discharging means by operating the transport direction switching means, and further, the paper is discharged by the image forming apparatus to the unprinted surface of the recording paper located on the upstream side of the transport path of the image forming apparatus. する両面プリント装置を備えた両面画像形成装置におい
て、両面プリント装置の記録紙入口近傍に設けられて前
記画像形成装置の搬送経路に在る残留記録紙を排紙する
ことが可能な排紙手段と、前記記録紙入口に配設され
て、両面プリント装置における反転搬送経路の切り換え
を行うと共に前記排紙手段方向への記録紙の搬送先切り
換えを行う反転切換手段と、両面プリント装置内でジャ
ムが発生したときに、前記画像形成装置の搬送経路の下
流側に在る記録紙を前記反転切換手段を動作させること
によって前記排紙手段へ排紙し、しかも前記画像形成装
置の搬送経路の上流側に在る記録紙の未プリント面に対
して画像形成装置によりプリントして外部へ排紙させる
ように制御する制御部とを備えたことを特徴とする両面
画像形成装置。
