This is thought to be due to the fact that hydrogen chloride gas is generated during heating in the case of chlorine-containing resin, and cycloheximide is remarkably decomposed. For example, when a composition in which cycloheximide is blended with polyvinyl chloride is used for coating wires and cables. However, there is a problem that cycloheximide is reduced to 10% or less of the initial addition amount due to the two thermal histories of the step of preparing the composition and the step of coating the obtained composition on electric wires and cables. For this reason, when blending cycloheximide with a chlorine-containing resin, a large amount must be added in consideration of the loss and the cost increases, and the composition preparation conditions and cable processing conditions, etc. Restrictions such as the need to perform low-temperature heating are imposed, resulting in a problem of low productivity.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a resin composition which can prevent a decrease in the composition and can be heated even at a relatively high temperature in a preparation step of the composition or a cable processing step.

In a resin composition comprising cycloheximide and a stabilizer, the stabilizer is 0.5 to 3.0 parts by weight of tribasic lead sulfate and 0.5 parts by weight of dibasic lead phosphite per 100 parts by weight of the resin.
5 to 4.0 parts by weight, and the total amount of these stabilizers is 5.0 parts by weight or less, and the compounding ratio of the cycloheximide is 0.1% by weight or less of the resin composition. .

In addition, since thermal decomposition can be prevented, the composition can be processed at a relatively high temperature using a general model at the time of kneading and extrusion.

If the addition amount or the total amount of either one is larger than this, the thermal decomposition of cycloheximide tends to be accelerated, and the processability of the composition is further deteriorated. If the amount of either one is smaller than this, the effect of preventing thermal decomposition of cycloheximide will be reduced. If the amount of the tribasic lead sulfate is less than this, the insulation resistance of the obtained resin composition decreases, so that it is not desirable to use it for a cable sheath or the like.

It is a white crystal (normal temperature) represented by C 15 H 23 NO 4 , and this crystal itself can be used, but a masterbatch blended with another resin can also be used. Further, microcapsules in which melamine resin or the like is used as a wall material and cycloheximide in a solution state is enclosed therein may be used. In addition, the mixing ratio of cycloheximide in the present invention is preferably 0.1% by weight or more based on the obtained resin composition.
If the compounding ratio is less than 0.1% by weight, the rat-proof effect is extremely small, and this effect cannot be exhibited for a long period of time.
Further, the mixing ratio is most preferably 0.1% by weight to 0.4% by weight in view of the mechanical properties of the obtained composition or the balance with the stabilizer in the present invention.
